Story
Hello my name is Wink. At just 8 months old, I’m a big, handsome 70 pound pup with an even bigger heart, searching for a forever home to call my own. My journey hasn’t been easy—I was surrendered to a crowded, high-risk shelter in San Antonio, Texas, for reasons I’ll never understand. The noise, the stress, the uncertainty… it was overwhelming. My time there was running out, and I needed someone to see me—to believe I was worth saving.Every day, I did my best to shine. I kept my kennel clean, wagged my tail nonstop, and greeted everyone with gentle affection, hoping they’d choose me. But no one did. Maybe it was my size, or my age, or my right eye. I have a condition called microphthalmia, which means my right eye is smaller and doesn’t see well—but it doesn’t slow me down or cause me pain, and the vet says it doesn’t need to be removed. The shelter called me Skunk, but my foster dad saw something different—he named me Wink, and it fits me perfectly.Just hours before I was set to be euthanized due to overcrowding, Project Hope Animal Rescue stepped in and saved my life. From there, I began a 1,200+ mile journey north, carried by kind-hearted volunteers who gave me a second chance. Now, I’m ready to start my next chapter.I’m a sweet, affectionate boy with the perfect balance of playful puppy energy and gentle companionship. I adore people and have a special way of leaning into you for pets—it’s like a full-body hug. I may be big, but I’m all soft on the inside and thrive on love, attention, and being part of the family.I’m still young and eager to learn. I’m very treat-motivated and want to make my people happy, which makes training fun and rewarding. I’ve already learned how to shake and I’m getting the hang of “sit.” I walk well on a leash and am excited to keep learning with someone who will guide me with patience and positivity.I’d do best in an active home where I have room to run, play, and grow—a fenced yard would be required. More than anything, I just want to be included in everyday life, whether that’s going on adventures, playing outside, or relaxing close to my favorite people. The basics:• Fully vetted• Potty trained• Dog & cat friendly• Working on crate trainingAll I need now is someone willing to take a chance on me—and in return, I’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and companionship.Wink is fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered & microchippedHis adoption fee is $300.If you have any questions or concerns about Wink,  please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Farley Farley is a Male Boxer mix DOB: November of 2025 Adoption fee: $200 Who doesn’t need some wiggles in their life. If you know Boxers, then you know about the wiggle butt and that’s what I have! I wiggle while I eat, and I wiggle with a toy in my mouth, I wiggle when I walk. (I do have a full tail). I am a little bashful and need a little confidence building. In a home with consistency in my routine and training, I should gain the confidence I need to be the best friend you’ve ever had. Pending observed interaction, I should do well with children 8 years and older. Pending a meet and greet, I may match with another dog. I have not been tested with a cat, but if properly introduced to cats, I adapt fine. I have not been on a leash at this time and would do my best with a physically fenced yard. I may require it pending your previous experience, location or other plans for containment. I am a very nice pup with lots of potential. I just need a family to help reach that potential.

Story
MEET PORTER! PLEASE SHARE TO HELP HIM FIND HIS FOREVER HOME!This 66-pound goofball is Porter, a 2-year-old Pitbull mix that weights 66 lbs. Porter has a giant heart and an even bigger personality! If it squeaks, bounces, rolls, or can be chased, Porter is ALL IN. Balls and dog toys are basically his love language. Porter is playful, silly, and loves a good rough-and-tumble play session, but he’s also incredibly smart and eager to learn. After spending far too long waiting at the shelter, his luck finally turned around when RPSM stepped in to help him start a new chapter. He’ll be heading into training on March 20th so he can be the very best boy for his future family. The best part? Porter does great with other dogs and kids, and he brings a ton of fun energy wherever he goes. This sweet boy has waited long enough… now he just needs his person. A yard, some toys, and a family to love would make his whole world complete.Could Porter be the missing piece to your family?Porter is neutered and UTD on all their vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of their own. RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  Porter will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting Porter please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. Porter’s adoption fee is $300.##2671407##

Story
Meet Miss Margo, she's sweet as can be. She'll celebrate her 1st birthday on May 13th. She's a beautiful redheaded Pitbull mix with a little white on her chest and ears that just don't stop. Margo currently weighs 48 lbs.She adapted easily to her foster home where there are 2 other dogs. She was house-trained in a day. She's crate trained, only chews appropriate toys and bones, and is a very quick learner. She does great with kids and other dogs, but no cats for this girl. She has short bursts of energy and usually matches the energy in dogs or people around her. She's gone to Tractor Supply Company with her foster and has been very well-behaved. She is a great co-pilot in the car and likes to hang her head out to catch the air. She'll be entering 10 weeks of training on May 22nd to learn her manners. If approved to adopt Margo, you will receive her weekly training reports until she is ready to come home with you! Submit your app!Margo is UTD on all their shots, HW, and FT. Margo has a microchip in case they get lost. Margo will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground to keep them safe. RPSM recommends homes with children 6 years and older, and NO CATS. If you are interested in adopting Margo, please fill out an application by going to www.rpsm.org today. Margo’s adoption fee is $300##2693468##
