Roscoe was seized by a local police department due to neglect. We dont know how anyone could neglect this sweet boy, he is such a gem. He is a loving and playful boy, being socialized in foster around other dogs, cats, and kiddos. We would love to find Roscoe a forever home where he never has to feel neglected ever again.

Introducing Anubis! This big guy came to us due to being abandoned by his owners, unfortunately. Weighing about 75lbs (and still on the thin side) this guy will need a strong handler willing to practice proper leash walking and socialization. Anubis has been friendly with staff and tolerated all cares since he arrived. We were told that he doesn`t like to hear yelling in the home and that rough-housing makes him uneasy and he will bark until it stops. He has been a total gentleman since coming to the shelter! He is just over a year old, neutered, microchipped, heart worm tested, and vaccinated. Anubis is a Boxer/Cane Corso mix so will need an experienced dog owner that is familiar with the breeds! He does well with calmer energy dogs, cats, and kids! If you need 80lbs of love in your life, please give the shelter a call at 218-675-7297!

Introducing Akiah! This big girl came to us due to being abandoned by her owners, unfortunately. Akiah weighs about 60lbs and will need a strong handler willing to practice proper leash walking and socialization. Akiah has been soooo sweet with staff and has tolerated all cares since she arrived. We were told that she doesn`t like to hear yelling in the home and that rough-housing makes her uneasy so she will bark until it stops. She has been such a honey since coming to the shelter! She is just over a year old, spayed, microchipped, heart worm tested, and vaccinated. Akiah is a Boxer/Cane Corso mix so will need an experienced dog owner that is familiar with the breeds! She does well with calmer energy dogs, cats, and kids! If you need a big snuggle bug to keep you warm at night, give the shelter a call at 218-675-7297 to set up a meet and greet with Akiah!

Meet Tyson — affectionately known as Chicken Nugget or just Nuggie. 🍗💛 Tyson’s story starts on the streets of Oklahoma, where he was found as a stray by an unhoused man who showed him incredible kindness. He made sure Tyson was safe and cared for, and reached out to one of our trusted rescue partners in Tulsa to help this little guy find a better future. Because of that compassion, Tyson is now safe, loved, and ready for his forever home. True to his nickname, Chicken Nugget, Tyson is a perfectly bite-sized bundle of joy — happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and always ready for snuggles. He absolutely adores playing with his puppy foster siblings and is happiest when he’s part of the action or curled up close to his people. Tyson is working diligently on both crate and potty training and continues to make great progress with consistency and routine. He’s a loving, sweet-natured puppy who will thrive in a home ready to guide him as he grows and learns. If you’re looking for a cuddly, playful, heart-melting little Nuggie to add to your family, Tyson is ready to come home. 🐾💛 Tyson’s adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are.
