She has hind-leg paralysis and is incontinent, but she doesn’t let that slow her down for a second. With her joyful personality and her “live life to the fullest” attitude, Isabel wins hearts everywhere she goes. This gentle girl is wonderful with cats, kids, and other dogs, making her an easy fit for all kinds of families. She adores toys, loves being included, and greets each day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. Hera is a gorgeous, one-year-old pit mix with a sweet and gentle soul. She was recently sprung from the shelter, where she'd been since March, and is currently learning how to be a dog in a home. Since she's still decompressing, her true personality is just beginning to shine, and she's ready to find a forever family who will help her blossom. This beautiful girl is all about finding a balance between play and snuggles. She loves to run and play outside and is learning to have an off switch inside when everyone is relaxing. She's a pro at crate training, is reliably housebroken when taken out regularly, and is a calm presence in the home—she rarely barks and isn't a jumper. She loves to curl up for a good snuggle and is also ready for an adventure. While Hera has shown no aggression, she prefers to have her own toys and sticks and would do best in a home with another dog who can handle sharing their toy box. She's been around dog-savvy young teenagers and has done great, but she hasn't been introduced to young kids or cats. Hera is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and ready to go home! She LOVES her toys—especially squeaky ones—and will happily entertain you with her adorable habit of tossing them into the air and chasing them down. A game of tug-of-war with her rope toy is one of her favorite ways to burn off energy before settling in for cuddles. Once playtime is over, Allie transforms into a total sofa pup. She enjoys curling up beside her people, soaking up pets, and listening to your voice.
