Story
FloJo is sweet, lively, and playful and loves to chase balls in the yard. She is treat motivated and a sucker for a good belly rub, a surefire way to win her affection. FloJo knows basic commands and also knows how to speak when prompted, how to lay down for her food and she will go to the door when she needs an outside potty break. Flojo is good with children. She would thrive most as the only dog in the family. She is leash trained and remains calm when she sees other dogs. FloJo is three years old and weighs 88 lbs. Location: Foster homeAll pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.helpingstrays.org

Story
Gibbs is so chill! Do you love spoiling your furry friends with fun toys and treats? Gibbs would gladly be your pampered pooch, chewing and chomping his way to your heart. He is crate-trained to snuggle up with a good toy and a bone when his fosters leave for the afternoon. One of his favorite summer treats is an ice cube! Gibbs gets along well with his foster family’s cats, too! He also shares a home with another dog, birds, and a sugar glider, and he is not bothered by them either. He was also great with a neighbor’s puppy when they met. One of his favorite places to hang out is on the couch with his foster dog sister and his foster parents. At two years old and 55 pounds, Gibbs is extremely chill and low-energy for a young dog. A home where he can learn to play more and enjoy a fenced yard would be ideal. His foster family takes him out on a leash for potty breaks and exercise. He is a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up fairly quickly. It’s unknown how Gibbs would react to young children, but he would likely be shy at first. Just one look at his great big eyes, and you’ll fall in love with this sweet boy. Want to learn more about Gibbs? Fill out the adoption application at istodaymydayrescue.org. Gibbs is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm-negative. His adoption fee is $325. He is being fostered in the DeSoto, Missouri area in Jefferson County.

Story
Willow is a confident and sometimes bossy little girl looking for her forever home. She is a boxer and unknown mix puppy and currently weighs 20 pounds.  Most of her features look mostly boxer and she is definitely boxer smart. She can figure out a way to get to whatever she wants.  She is potty and crate trained.  She would do best in a home with another dog who can match her energy level. Willow has an abundance of energy and would love to have a fenced yard or an active family. She is at home in the back yard and will sunbath for hours if you let her.  Willow is currently working on her leash skills but will need ongoing training to learn proper leash manners. Willow is ready for adoption and would love to be the large and in charge little sister in your family.  Willow and her sibling (Spruce) came from the Southeast, MO from the bootheel area. If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
