Story
Jade was found with her mom and little sister. Her mom was very friendly, but Jade and her sister Diamond were very fearful. She has been in the pound since August and has done wonderfully, although still a little timid. But she is very affectionate, loves pets and attention. Jade Adores other dogs, especially males. She is a good dog, but she will need time to adjust to new surroundings. the more socialization she can have, the better. She would be a good dog for an individual. I am not sure how she would do with kids. But she would thrive with some love and attention. please contact me via email. I am in and out of my office so that is the best way to communicate.

Story
Zaria is a beautiful girl who came to us from an indoor home with cats and a child. She had been adopted from the Haven but returned when her human mom got a promotion at her job that involved working extremely long hours. Worried that Zaria was spending too much time alone, she brought her back to us to find a new home. Zaria is a friendly, outgoing girl who would enjoy living inside with her people since that's what she's used to. She is goofy, loves toys, and does well in a crate. She tends to forget her size and for this reason would do better in a home with older children. She is smart and picks up on training quickly. She would do well with a yard or plenty of walks for exercise. She is pretty good about jumping fences so will need a tall fence. She can be picky with the dogs she gets along with, so a meet and greet is recommended for any potential fur-siblings. Her estimated DOB is 3/7/14 and she is about 60lbs.All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647....All pets have lifetime sanctuary at Haven of the Ozarks. Story
Cantaloupe came into the Haven of the Ozarks with another dog by the name of Melon they are two very shy, reserved pups that were found roaming a neighborhood. We later found out that their owner had passed away and that's why they were out roaming, probably in search of food and water. But lucky for them they picked the perfect neighborhood to seek out their basic needs because once everyone noticed them, they all came together and began putting out food, water and trying to gain their trust. This process took about two months because these two caught on to what people were trying to do and would not go into traps, they had set for them so they could get them to us so we could help these sweet pups try and understand that not all people are bad and that we just wanted to help. We at the Haven of the Ozarks believe that with a lot of time, basic training and patience that these two sweeties can grow to trust someone and be able to eventually live the happy healthy life's they deserve. We think that it would need to be someone that is willing to come out for a few days and spend time with them in their kennel and shower them with treats and love to gain trust before they went home just to make the transition from our shelter to a home easier on them. Her estimated DOB is 7/19/21.All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Story
Hi! I'm Qira. I'm a Boxer mix looking for a family to call my own. I love to cuddle, give kisses and be silly! I love my stuffed animals and to play tug of war! I would like to have a home with a fenced yard because hanging out and watch the clouds is something I enjoy doing. I would do well in a home where I would be the only pet. I will love you so much that I want you all to myself! I'm blind in my left eye and get startled easily sometimes, so I'd also do best in a home without kids or with older kids. Do you think I might make a good fit for your family? I REALLY hope so!
