Story
Qira is a sweet Boxer/mix that came to Faithful Friends Animal Advocates as a stray in March 2017, when she was 11 months old. After being at FFAA for whopping 3 years, she was finally adopted and had a home of her own for a couple of years before finding herself being abandoned when her family surrendered her to Animal Control. When Faithful Friends received the call that she was there, we gladly took her back, even though our heart was broken for this poor girl. Unfortunately when she came back to us the second time, she was blind in in her left eye, but she doesn’t let that slow her down!If you count the days Qira was here before being adopted (995 days) and the days she has been here since being brought back (422 days) this sweet girl has been here for a combined total of 1417 days. She has spent almost 4 of her 7 years inside of a shelter and that is FAR too long. She NEEDS and deserves to get out of this stressful shelter environment and finally have the home she has always dreamed of. She loves her stuffed animals and to play tug of war. She also enjoys going for leisurely walks and is always ready to snuggle up on the couch! With her now being blind in one of her eyes, she gets startled easily sometimes. So she would do best in a home without young children. She is not reactive towards other dogs when she is out and about, but she does need to go to a home as your only animal. But she promises to shower you with so much love and affection that she will be enough!Qira just celebrated her 7th birthday here at the shelter, on April 4th. And of course we made a big deal out of it with a cookie and toy bear (she loves her toy babies so much! She will line them up on her cot in her kennel). What we wish we could’ve given this girl as a birthday gift is a loving forever home of her own. A place where she can have her own bed with a basket of toys, a couch to lay on, and a person to love on and to be unconditionally loved in return. She needs a HERO. Could that be you?

Story
Melon came to the Haven of the Ozarks with another dog by the name of Cantaloupe they are two very shy, reserved pups that were found roaming a neighborhood. We later found out that their owner had passed away and that's why they were out roaming, probably in search of food and water. But lucky for them they picked the perfect neighborhood to seek out their basic needs because once everyone noticed them, they all came together and began putting out food, water and trying to gain their trust. This process took about two months because these two caught on to what people were trying to do and would not go into traps, they had set for them so they could get them to us so we could help these sweet pups try and understand that not all people are bad and that we just wanted to help. We at the Haven of the Ozarks believe that with a lot of time, basic training and patience that these two sweeties can grow to trust someone and be able to eventually live the happy healthy life's they deserve. We think that it would need to be someone that is willing to come out for a few days and spend time with them in their kennel and shower them with treats and love to gain trust before they went home just to make the transition from our shelter to a home easier on them. We've recently brought both pups into the office to hang out and Melon warms up much more quickly than his sister. His estimated DOB is 7/19/21. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647....All pets have lifetime sanctuary at Haven of the Ozarks. If they cannot remain with their adopter, they must be returned to the Haven.Adoption fees are as follows: Puppies under the age of 6 months - $150Dogs weighing 30 pounds and less - $200Dogs over 6 months old- $90Cats under the age of 6 months old - $75Cats over the age of 6 months old - $65

Story
This flourishing gal is Bonnie! She is the sweetest! Rhodesian Boxer mix that was born 12/30/22 and currently weighs 36.6 Lbs. The Rhodesian Boxer is a cross between the Rhodesian Ridgeback and the Boxer. The combination of these two breeds produces a confident, beautiful, and energetic family-oriented dog. Bonnie goes to doggy daycare and has learned how to be well socialized around all types, sizes and ages of other dogs. Bonnie spent the first 3 1/2 months of her life outside on a farm and has now been taught to sleep in her crate at night and use the doggy door. She is 100% house trained and well behaved inside. Bonnie likes to lay next to you on the couch and get belly rubs and will nudge you when you stop. I have chihuahua's and she is so gentle with them. Her previous owner had her tail docked and declaws removed. Please do not reply if you live in an apartment, Bonnie likes to be able to play outdoors. Why wait? Don't miss out on this beautiful girl. Bonnie will come spayed, with all 3-sets of puppy Vaccinations, dewormed, flea and tick treated and micro-chipped. $175 rescue adoption fee applies. If you would like an adoption application and to set up a meet and greet, E-Mail or call or text Lori at: 760-680-3713 Located in Grove, OK. More pictures and video available upon request
