Story
Stitch Breed: Boxer (XL edition) Sex: Male Age: Puppy Special Skill: Stealing hearts and probably your couch Stitch is Reuben’s partner in crime and chaos—slightly more thoughtful, just as oversized, and equally confused about why humans keep making terrible life choices. He’s affectionate, playful, and the kind of dog who looks at you like you personally hung the moon. Stitch bonds quickly and loves being close—preferably touching you with at least one paw at all times. Like his brother, Stitch is still learning the ropes. He’s not broken, not damaged, not “too much.” He’s just a big puppy who needs guidance instead of abandonment. Ideal home: Someone ready for training, structure, and a whole lot of slobbery gratitude. Adoption Fee: $250 Currently located in Fosters, AL and can be transported North to an adopter for an additional $200. Interested in adopting? Story
Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
One thing is certain with Chanel Belle, this girly loves to love and she adores people. She is the type that will lay snuggled up on the couch with you on a lazy Sunday watching your favorite show and the type that will be your little helper while you do things around the house or in the yard. Chanel Belle is the perfect example of a dog that is just happy to be with you, no matter where you are. She loves every single person that she meets and tries to give them a hug. Her whole body wiggles and her docked tail is moving at maximum speed. It's so cute! Watch her video and see the cutest wigglebutt ever: https://youtu.be/D5KmlZKgcYc?si=30x2vnHXEbukalsR Chanel Belle is believed to be a pittie/boxer mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 58lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue it's always a mystery, and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We do think she may have some sort of boxer or bully type breed somewhere in there because she has a cute little under bite that pokes out from time to time. Chanel is dog friendly and has been around a variety of different dogs all with different personalities and temperaments. She is not the playful type with other dogs and is more of a relaxed hangout type of girly that prefers to get attention from people. She is happy to be around dogs that have the same cool, calm, collected tempo as her. Chanel also appreciates being around dogs that give her space at the beginning to get to know them first. She's a polite and respectful gal that likes for the same energy to be reciprocated. Once’s she’s comfortable, she does the cutest little play bows and loves to zoom around with her new friend in light hearted games of chase. In a home, she would do best with a mellow male dog that enjoys the company of other dogs and isn't looking for a playmate, only looking for company. She'll be perfect for that! Chanel also does not need another dog in the home, so no worries there if you don't have a dog. She is so loving and affectionate that she has enough love to give that is equivalent to 3 dogs combined. She's something special! Chanel would also do best in a home with no cats as she was a little too interested in our house cat Biggie. When it comes to training, Chanel is ready and eager to learn! She loves treats and already knows a few basic commands such a sit and I'm fairly certain she has the foundation of already knowing how to sit pretty. You could probably even teach her how to dance too LOL. Chanel is fairly easy to walk on a leash and only pulls every so often. She responds well to correction and with consistency and practice she'll be walking like a queen on leash. Chanel has wonderful house manners and is crate and potty trained. Her only request is that you let her snuggle on the couch with you. Chanel would thrive in a home with a semi-active family that enjoys going on walks around the neighborhood and is looking for a super affectionate girly. If you're someone that likes to host and have people over, Chanel will be the very first one to greet your guest. Not feeling super social one day? That's fine by Chanel, she'll be happy wherever you are. We also believe that she would be thrilled for her home to have a backyard where she can stretch her legs, enjoy the sunshine, and meander around with you while you work on your garden or do things around the yard. Just based off what we already know and how sweet and affectionate she is, we think she would be a great family dog as well and we can test her with a wide range of kid ages. Chanel loves car rides and happily jumps right in. Her foster mom says she is amazed that even her dog, Milo, can learn a thing or two from her. Her being non reactive to her surroundings while out and about makes her an enjoyable dog to take places. We are willing to test Chanel Belle with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We cane make anything happen! Just let us know. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
*Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* Daffodil has been waiting over 4 years for a home. This is the longest that any dog has been with our rescue. She deserves a family of her very own to be loved by. Daffodil is a 7 year old lovely mixed breed pup. She gets along with all dogs and humans that she meets but she does not get along with cats. Her 8 pups she was abandoned with have all been adopted and she is ready for it to be her turn! Her adoption fee has been reduced to $350 due to length of time in foster care (over 6 months).  Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $350 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.   ##1062498##

Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4.5-year-old beauty. She is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier that weighs about 60 pounds. She is a beautiful grey and tan coat that is shiny and she is not too big of a shedding dog. She is loyal and does get along with dogs. Her preference is smaller male dogs or smaller submissive females. She was adopted as a puppy and returned at 4 years old because she didn’t get along with the other female dog in the home. She loves people and loves kids. She is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She is very affectionate and slept with her family in the bed at night. She was really nice to all the people she met today at the rescue. She loved cuddles and being petted. We could adopt her locally with other dogs and we can test the dogs out. If she goes outside the state of Texas she would make a great only dog. She would be a great companion dog for someone wanting an outdoor companion on your activities and a dog willing to cuddle when you want to chill and read a book. She is the best of both worlds. She is house trained and goes potty outside. They have worked with trainers so she is skilled as far as training goes and was following direction nicely at the Rescue. She could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. She if fully vetted, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
