Story
Elsa was born about June 20, 2015 and weighs about 50 lbs.  She is good on leash and used to being walked in the city of Buffalo.  She is with us as her humans are moving to the Carribean and they were not able to take the dogs.  Elsa was a loved member of the family and it was a tearful goodbye.  As I write this she has only been here a few hours and is quite content although a bit on the unsure side and who can blame her as she now has a new house, new humans, and 20 some new doggie friends, of all sizes, which she is doing extremely well with.  Elsa is nicely house trained and was in a routine to go out every couple of hours, but if they couldn't she would hold it.  She is good in the car and did very well on her almost two-hour car ride here.  Oh, one important thing we need to mention is that she is deaf, or mostly deaf, they feel she may hear some louder noises or maybe she is just sensitive to vibration of louder noises.  We feel strongly she should live with another normal hearing dog as she will follow their cues.  Elsa is not at all hyper and is even said to be a bit on the lazy side - this girl loves her naps!  She is mostly friendly with new humans approaching her, but on intake a strange man approached her quickly and she did bounce and bark.  She's now in the house with him and not paying any attention at all and other than the one bark she hasn't made a peep..  She may startle quicker than a dog that can hear with approaching humans - perhaps mostly men.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_400.00___. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html. Story
Meet Rosie, a super sweet girl with a heart as big as Texas! Rosie had a bit of an adventurous stint as a stray, but now she's all set to find her perfect forever home.Rosie is a furry socialite who gets along wonderfully with her fellow doggie pals. However, she does have one little quirk—cats and Rosie aren't exactly a match made in heaven. Those frisky felines tend to trigger her playful chase instincts! When it comes to humans, Rosie is a total cuddlebug. She's convinced she's a lap dog and won't hesitate to hop right up for some quality snuggle time. But here's the fun part: Rosie's got a spirited teenage attitude. When she's told "no" or caught doing something she shouldn't, she's not one to back down quietly—she'll talk back with all the sass!If you're ready to bring a sweet and silly addition to your family, Rosie is more than prepared for her forever home. And yes, she's absolutely transportable, so don't let the Texas distance discourage you, transport only costs $230. Apply today and let the fun begin!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41
