Story
Jericho was my first of the four dogs I have now. For the first year he was so attached to me, he was relaxed, he was playful, we played tons of different games , he was smart, happy . I thought he needed a friend. He was a bit nervous at the dog park. He liked playing with this one puppy his age. When he went through puberty he became more confident. I got him a friend, he was excited but she was possessive over his toys and stuff. He liked her, they became best friends. Then i got him neutered She hates him after that. She won't play with him. She likes the two others I have 4 .He gets left out.She dominates him. Won't let him haves things, is aggresive. He wont even take toys anymore when they all get one. He's great on his own, he loves men, he wants to be around his owner, he just want love and attention and someone to play games with him, and encourage and build his confidence. Hikes off leash, listens well, very eager to please, waits nice for you does not use crate. Only dog

Story
Meet Indigo & Ruby – the sweetest little survivors looking for their forever home Indigo and Ruby are a stunning pair of brindle Boxer mix puppies who were saved just minutes before euthanasia at a shelter in Tennessee. Their story could have ended far too soon, but these two resilient babies are proof that hope can bloom in the last moments. At approximately 3 months old and around 8 lbs each, Indigo and Ruby are everything you’d want in growing pups: bright‑eyed, affectionate, playful, and endlessly charming. Ruby is a gentle, sweet girl with a soft spirit, while Indigo is a beautiful boy with a curious, loving nature. They adore people, love to snuggle, and are quickly learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. Both pups have received their age‑appropriate puppy vaccinations. They will need to be spayed/neutered when they reach the appropriate age. Indigo and Ruby are currently located in Tennessee, and transport is available to your area. If you’re ready to give one—or both—of these incredible pups the life they deserve, please reach out to Julie: 📞 919‑624‑0059 📧 julie@arcadiarescue.org These two have already beaten the odds. Now they just need someone to love them for the rest of their lives.

Story
Meet Maria — the little survivor with the biggest heart Maria arrived at a Tennessee shelter painfully underweight and malnourished, but even then, her gentle spirit never dimmed. At just 2 years old and only 30 lbs, she had already endured far more than any dog should. Today, thanks to loving foster care, Maria is blossoming. She’s gaining weight, feeling safe, and showing everyone what a happy, affectionate girl she truly is. Her tail wags nonstop, her eyes sparkle, and she’s discovering all the joys she missed out on — soft beds, full meals, toys, and people who adore her. Maria is fully vaccinated, spayed, and ready for her next chapter with a family who will cherish her. She’s a champion cuddler, a devoted TV‑watching buddy, and a playful toy enthusiast. Her sweet, calm nature makes her easy to love, and she’s eager to share her gratitude with every snuggle. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love, Maria is your girl. He loves attention and will happily be your companion, whether that means daily walks, playing fetch, relaxing together at home, going for adventures, or simply being by your side. Story
Toffee/Bam Bam was an owner surrender in Nov, 2024 due to the owner not having time for him. So he dropped him off at the New York Animal Care Centers - the NYC municipal shelter. He was stressed and scared. He was marked as "RESCUE. ONLY". He was then scheduled for euthanasia but a wonderful woman stepped up to save his life. She rehabbed him and worked with him and now he's ready for his forever home. TOFFEE/BAM BAM STATS: Age: 2 years • Weight: 48 pounds • Vaccinations: Up to date • Spayed/Neutered: No. We will neuter him at the adopters location. • Activity Level: High energy; thrives with daily exercise and play • Other dogs: Yes with proper introductions • Kids: We would say older kids just due to his size. • Cats: Yes • Housebroken: Yes • Crate Trained: Yes Meet Toffee/Bam Bam: Your New Best Friend Toffee/Bam Bam would thrive in a home with a fenced yard for running around would be ideal. A loving home where Toffee can have plenty of active outdoor time but also hang out on the comfy couch while his people watch tv. Toffee loves to look out the window to see what's going on. He is fascinated by squirrels and birds. Toffee gets very excited meeting new people. He knows basic commands like "sit" and takes treats gently when reminded to be "easy" Toffee has come a long way in foster and would do best with an experienced and patient owner. He still needs a bit of leash training but has learned to "heel" while using the prong collar. He still has some resource guarding issues around food, toys, and certain spaces, but is easily shifted/distracted from these behaviors with gentle commands. He enjoys counter surfing but responds to "leave it" and "come" to get a small treat. Toffee has some separation anxiety and is known to tear things in his crate when his person leaves him alone. Giving him a chewy treat or toy helps curb this behavior somewhat. He gets excited meeting people and tends to try and jump gently on them for pets. Toffee is a handsome brindle boy with a very sweet disposition. He loves meeting new people and making new friends. Toffee is active and enjoys going for walks and exploring. He loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch on a warm blankie next to me while I'm reading or watching a movie. This is a very loving and lovable dog.
