Story
Tank has been cared for since his original owners landlord no longer wanted him there. He is 6 years old, we have been looking for a home for him for over a year, we now have a new baby in the house and he needs attention that we can not give, he is not fixed and had his last rabies shot last summer. We do not know if he is good with other animals because he has never been around them. He is very strong and not perfect on a leash, older kids would be good since he still acts like a puppy and is very playful! He is crate trained. Knows commands like sit, lay, wait, gives paw and lets you know when he needs to go outside!

Story
Hey! Roxy is a very affectionate, sweet girl, who loves to please her owner and loves snacks, walks and naps. She likes to lay out in the sun but she also is ready to chase you or a bunny in a second! She's great at the groomer and house trained (no accidents at all). Loves all people and has never shown any aggression toward people and doesn't bark(if she barks something is wrong!). Sadly we feel like we can't offer her the best quality of life due to long hours away from her. We're also leaving the country soon and relocating unexpectedly and would love to find her a home that loves her and cares for her. Thank you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ZYM was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024. He along with 3 other pitties that he was saved were extremely emaciated with pressure sores that have been treated for and are all doing amazing having gained weight and healed. Zym is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of 4 April 2023 and in April 2024 weighed of 36 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. Since Zym has been here (just over a month at the time of this update) he has done amazing, he has gained weight (too much and is now on a diet lol). He and Smellerbee are pretty bonded and snuggle up together in a big puppy pile, so we would love to adopt them together but will adopt individually if a family only wants one. He is playful, affectionate, goofy, happy, full of love, kisses and cuddles. From what he must have endured to now it is a complete change, he is so much fun. He deserves an extra special family who can give him the life he deserves and help him forget the abuse, neglect and starvation he has suffered. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page    to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Zym is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $50. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - We do not have cats in the kennels and are not able to say how our dogs are with cats. Story
Howdy y'all, the name's spud. I've lived long enough to learn a thing or three so its no wonder the folks here at the APF say I'm one of the fastest sitters in the northeast. The ladies say I'm quite gentleman and also a confident boy who loves to do agility training. I am house trained and know when to "settle" or "place" if you tell me. These days, I'm looking to retire in a nice warm and loving home where I can lay down and enjoy a Kong of peanut butter. But, I love just about most treats! Come on by and meet me anytime Tues-Sat between 12:00pm-4:15pm or, if you have questions, call us at (518) 374-3944

Story
Hi everyone, Oreo here. I am a young Pitty/Lab Mix hoping to find a new home. My ideal home would be with someone who can help me learn and grow, while not pushing me along. See, I am quite shy and still learning about the big world so I get nervous pretty easily. I need someone patient and kind. I have lived with other dogs before but haven't met any dogs other than the one I lived with. All that to say a doggy sibling is a potential? I have lived with kids before too but I would do best in a home where the kids can understand and respect my space and be able to have patience with me. I am still young so I am learning all the basics, like manners and leash skills. It may take me a bit to become comfortable with you but I promise I am worth it. Come visit me Tues-Sat 12-3 at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.
