He is rather laid back and just goes with the flow. He loves attention and will be happy to cuddle with you. He knows several commands and walks nicely on a leash. He lived in a home with other dogs and children. He is perfectly house trained and crate trained. He will easily adjust in his forever home. He is great with other dogs and children. He hasn't been tested with cats. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $250.00. Laila is a 5yr old spayed female Boxer/ Pitbull mix. Laila came to us as part of a cruelty case. Laila was loved but never received vet care or proper food. She had a terrible flea infestation and was missing a lot of hair. She was also thin and needed wormed. She has now been fully vetted and has put on some much needed weight. For everything she has been through Laila is still a very kind and gentle girl. She eagerly wants to please you and should quickly learn new commands. She has some energy but also calms down nicely. She is good with her food and happily shares toys and treats. She has been through enough and now deserves to live the good life. She seems very well house trained. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $200. Meet Velvet! This beautiful black Boxer mix recently came to FDHS as a stray and, unfortunately, was never reclaimed by her previous family.Velvet is still pretty new around here and settling in, but we think we’ve already got a pretty good idea of what kind of girl she is! She has the SWEETEST personality and has already claimed the title of Queen of the WiggleButts. She’s happy, well-mannered, and always ready to have a good time!Velvet does phenomenal about keeping a clean kennel and has been wonderfully non-destructive with her blankets and stuffed animals. She could use a little brushing up on her leash manners, but otherwise, she’s been a very polite lady. She’s shown interest in making friends with the other shelter dogs, although we haven’t tested her with cats yet.And the humans? Velvet has been an absolute angel baby with every single person she’s met. She’s still getting settled in, but so far, Velvet is proving to be one pretty fabulous girl who we think could fit right into all kinds of homes. Now she just needs to find the people who will appreciate all those wiggles as much as we do!**Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 35 lbs**

Hi future best friend, I’m Jupiter! I’ve been told I’m a Boxer mix, but honestly, I think I’m mostly just… dog. Big, wiggly, slightly slobbery, and always ready to have a good time.My time at FDHS has been quite the adventure. I’ve managed to injure myself in increasingly creative ways, including slicing open my paw and discovering the joys of Happy Tail Syndrome. That little escapade eventually earned me a partial tail amputation and several weeks of wearing the world’s most offensive cone. I may look a little different these days, but I’m healed up, feeling great, and my tail is still fully operational in the wiggle department.And while I’ve had my share of shelter shenanigans, I’ve also discovered that I’m actually a pretty fantastic dog. I’ve become one of our best canine play pals and have gotten to spend time in play groups with some of the more shy pups here. Apparently, I’m quite the social butterfly because I’ve also attended a few events and absolutely LOVE meeting new people. Big people, little people, new people, familiar people… I’m not picky. If you’re willing to give me attention, we’re probably going to be friends.I recently got to spend some time in a home, too, and my foster mom had nothing but wonderful things to say about me! I was house-trained, well-mannered, and apparently just the happiest boy around. I’m pretty sure I already knew how to be a good house dog, but it was nice to have the humans confirm it. Cats and other small critters, however, are NOT my thing. I have a pretty high prey drive, so my forever home will need to be a cat-free, small-animal-free zone.I’ve been at FDHS for way too long, and I’m ready for someone to finally realize that their family has been missing a Jupiter-sized personality this whole time. **Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs 70 lbs**

MEET JOVIE!!! We are located in Maumee Ohio. I adopted her from the cuyahoga animal shelter over in Cleveland. She is 3/12 years old and has a ton of loving energy. She is a clingy girl so whoever she latches onto will have a shadow. She looks big in pictures but she is a very tiny girl. I hold her all of the time! She loves to be in a crate when you are not home. It’s a shelter dog thing. She is a good with kids and most dogs. A slow introduction would be needed of course. I would love to have kept her but she is unfortunately not compliant with my schedule or housing. I want her to go to the BEST home possible. Preferably with a fenced in yard.
