BUDDY, a 6 year old Boxer mix was surrendered to our pound when neighbors complained that he was allowed to wander and trampled in their gardens. His former owner didn't believe in tying him up or putting him on a leash so BUDDY was surrendered to us instead. BUDDY is a great dog and while he may not know it, his owner did him a big favor. BUDDY was an outside dog who slept in the barn at night so now, he will get the opportunity to live inside with a family. BUDDY is the sweetest boy who is very affectionate. He loves people and will be your shadow. He is good with kids and other dogs. We don't know about cats. Because BUDDY lived outside and isn't housebroken, he has been taking part in the Cell Dog Training Program and the Belmont Correctional Institution in neighboring Belmont County where he is learning basic commands and housebreaking. He already is well-behaved and walks like a true gentleman on a leash. BUDDY is available for adoption while he is training. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907 Open: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; Closed Sundays and holidays. Out of state adoptions welcomed. Applications are available at the pound and online at harrisoncountydogpoundvolunteers,org. Lovely is a 6 year old (born 2/19/2018) female boxer mix best guess). She is house trained. She is pretty chill. She previously lived with other dogs, but she does food guard. For that reason we would recommend a home without other dogs and small children. Lovely's adoption fee is $150.00. She is spayed, microchipped and fully vetted. If you want to meet Lovely, you must FIRST apply for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html **100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide for medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries. *Note: Ideally, ALL members of the family (canine and human alike) should be present for any meet and greet unless otherwise specified/discussed. My name is Chloe, but I live with 2 other senior ladies. So, we have been named the Golden Girls, and I'm Rose!! And yes, I can be a bit ditzy, but beyond lovable!! My mommy says so, so I know it's true. I love laying on the couch next to my person. Just being a part of a family is really nice. Would you like to be my family? Chloe is an older lady just looking to relax! She rides ok in the car, but she shakes possiblyl fear of being dumped again. But she does do well in the car. A fenced yard would be ideal for her -- she loves to be in the sun running! Or just being lazy and soaking up the rays. She would do fine with other dogs and with children. Not sure on toddlers simply because of her size. Her foster mom is confident she will get better on a leash as long as she has a harness on. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org
