Story
Bear is a friendly, loving dog with a lot of personality, energy, and adorable antics. He's Rottweiler boxer and he's 1.5 years old, free to a good home without energetic children or other pets; he can be around them without issue, but he can't live with them. He is very cuddly, housebroken, and he benefits from a strong hand. Despite that playful stubbornness, he's smart and very trainable and I've had a lot of success training him to do new things. He can be a little skittish around new men, but having bear meet them in the driveway and having them ignore bear until he gets comfortable really does the trick. Slow and calm is the Bear way. He has some limb injuries that don't keep him from enjoying the finer things in life but he does need pain medication and joint supplements for that. He also has a little anxiety so he takes anxiety meds if there's going to be a particularly stressful event, like going to the vet. He benefits from doggy fiber chews.

Story
Breaker is up for adoption in TX, NE and PNW (excluding MA)! Meet Breaker – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making! Breaker is a handsome Great Dane mix a little over a year old who is ready to find an active, committed family to call his own. At around 65 pounds, he’s a wonderful blend of big-dog presence and goofy puppy charm. Breaker is currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, but he can be transported to the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast United States for the right home. Breaker thrives on activity and he still has that classic puppy energy, so he’s looking for a family that understands the importance of positive correction, consistency, and continued training to help him grow into the best version of himself. With the right guidance, Breaker is eager to learn and please. One of Breaker’s favorite things in the world is going on adventures. He absolutely loves riding in the car and would be thrilled to tag along for hikes, outings, road trips, or any fun day spent exploring with his people. Water is another big favorite—splashing, wading, and cooling off are right up his alley. When playtime rolls around, Breaker is all in. He loves toys of all kinds and enjoys playing with dogs his own size. Most of all, Breaker wants to be with his people. He would happily spend the entire day with his family, whether that means being on the go or just hanging out together. If you’re an active household looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion to share life’s adventures, Breaker may be the perfect match for you. Story
Hollow was found on 7/1/26 at N Bertelsen Rd & Royal Ave in Eugene. He came into the shelter not yet neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Hello, I`m Sherwood! I`m about 1 year old and weigh 56 pounds.Large dogs aren’t harder to love - sometimes they just need a little extra support. Ask us about our More to Love adoption resources for large breed dogs and puppies.Do you like...Dogs? I have been neutral meeting new dogs at the shelter. Please bring any other dogs in the home to meet me.Cats? Unknown. A slow introduction would help set us up for success.Kids? I can be a little timid at times. 8+Anything else you`d like us to know, Sherwood? I`m a young guy that`s ready to learn with my new family!I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503.
