Story
Meet Shiloh! This 1.5 yr old boxer/pitbull mix is a fun dog to welcome into your life! He has energy for days; so an active family is best for him! He did well with dogs who weren’t up in his face; so meeting a dog in the potential home will be key to see if they work together. He cant live with cats. He will be fine with children.** Shiloh is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
Hello world! My name is Moo Moo! I am a sweet fun-loving girl, who LOVES to play. My favorite kind of toy is anything that squeaks! I`ll play fetch, even some tug-of-war, but ill drop it if you ask me to. I know how to sit and shake like a lady for my treats. I love to be outside exploring the world so if you`re looking for a new hiking buddy look no further! I love to be in the water and bath time is a breeze for me, I don`t mind getting my nails trimmed either. I`d love to have a family with kids and even some other dogs to play with. Cats really aren`t my thing but if you are interested in a new furry four-legged member for the family look no further and apply for me at www.clearfieldcountyspca.org today!

Story
Run D.O.G. is a 6 year old male. He unfortunately was part of another Bedford hoarding house. We are suspecting he will need help with house training. Otherwise, he is a very happy guy! He has a lot of energy and would be a great outdoor hiking companion or a sport dog. He is a food thief and will take advantage of short children and steal their food lol! He will need to learn some manners, or he will be counter surfing. We know his high energy will not be compatible with all dogs. He is unsure about cats so we are still testing him to see what we think.** RUN D.O.G. is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. In person applications take priority over ones mailed or emailed (especially on a popular animal). An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. Story
Macadamia is a 5 year old female. She is around 60 lbs. She is a ball of energy with no off button. She did well meeting other dogs but we know her energy will be a turn off to some. Same for children so it will depend on the interaction. We feel that Macadamia and a cat would be a lot of management to ensure she can settle around the cat - so it would be best if her next home was cat free. Macadamia is a good girl but needs to learn how to settle and live that calmer life. PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
Fred is a 3 year old male. He is roughly 80 lbs. Fred is no stranger to the shelter system. He was with us in 2023. He was adopted out but now that family no longer has time for him. He requires a lot of physical and mental stimulation to be tired out. He did live with another large dog - Fred can be a lot so we know that not every dog will be receptive to his high energy. He cannot live with cats. He is great with people but becomes too excitable at times and needs children 12-14 years and older. He is the kool aid man when it comes to wooden gates so he will need something stronger than that to contain him. ** Fred is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application.
