This is Humphrey Jr. Dogs like Humphrey Jr. are the reason the shelter is always full and unfortunately sit here waiting for a long time (over 6 months, maybe over a year.) However, we will try to find someone who is willing to put in the work to have a harder to place dog. They all deserve a home! So, Humphrey was a stray. Not claimed by his owner. He's a younger Pitbull mix, about 9 months or so. He is hyper and needs training. He will take a few visits to warm up to you. The staff he knows and trusts, are easily able to handle him. Some even cuddled with him on the floor. He can't live with dogs, cats, or kids. This makes it extremely difficult to find a home due to most people having multiple pets. This absolute love bug is Molly! She came to us as a stray so we don't know much about her. From what we can tell we do believe she is deaf, but that doesn't stop her! She LOVES to play with toys. She can play tug of war with the best of them, and stuffed toys don't stand a chance! She does know how to sit like a lady and wait for her toys, and treats. Aries was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer keep him due to landlord issues. He is around a year old and weighs 53 pounds. Aries needed some time to adjust to shelter life but has come out of his shell and enjoys treats and going on walks! He is a shy at first with new people, but treats are the key to his heart! Aires knows sit but will need some work on other commands. He is a sweet guy that would love to have a second chance at finding a loving forever home! Aries has lived with children but may be too much for small children so an age restriction for children in the home may apply, please discuss this with shelter staff.
