I inherited Desmond after my friend passed away and have had him for the past year. We recently had our first child. Desmond is loving and smart. but very jealous. He doesn't do well with children, he has never bitten a child but becomes very agitated when a child comes near him. He is also very jealous of other dogs. He would do best in a home where he is the center of attention. He is mostly house trained occasionally goes to the bathroom in the basement where he sleeps. We have two cats that he gets along with very well. He loves to cuddle and loves stuffed animals.

As would be expected with an older dog his energy level is pretty mild, making him great for any owner looking for a quieter dog around the house. Meet Roger! Roger was brought to ICHS as a stray. This handsome fella is the goofiest dog you'll ever meet! He always knows how to make the shelter staff laugh. There isn't a single person at our shelter who doesn't just absolutely adore this dog! When he isn't getting all the hugs, kisses, and pets from the shelter staff, Rodger loves to be playing! He especially enjoys playing tug-of-war. While Roger seems to like everyone he meets, he can be a little more selective about what dogs he hangs around. Lovable 22 month old Pitt, good with other dogs and children. Needs a loving family that can spend time with him, take for walks and freedom to run and play. Unfortunately due to my new job position I can no longer provide the time and attention that he needs and deserves and it’s not fair for him to be crated 10+ hours out of a day. He’s a GREAT dog and loved very much ….. I wish the circumstances were different, but it’s not fair to him, and I Gotta do what’s best for him and he deserves the best life possible.
