Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? I had a rough start at life and was recently attacked by another dog, so now I’m in my healing era.I am dog friendly as I come from a home with many other dogs and get alone well with my foster brother, but we are unsure about cats or children since I haven’t been around them. Shrek is an unknown mix, as far as his breed mix I think there might be some Boxer in there. He's a nice, normal-energy young dog whom we pulled from a county shelter. A good boy! .He's housetrained and sits on command, and has never shown any aggression towards other dogs. We are not sure how he does with children, or cats. Tia has been with us since March, and she is beyond ready to find a loving home. Tia can be a little shy at first but once she warms up to you, expect all the love she can give. She at one time didn't really understand the concept of "playing" but she is becoming more interested in her toys as of late. Tia is around 2 years old. She enjoys giving her human(s) lots of kisses, she can "shake" and "sit" for some good treats and she is very calm and gentle. She can be slightly dog-selective at times, but she does well with the dogs she gets along with here at the shelter. If you have another pup at home, it would definitely be worth the meet and greet. If you have the patience and are willing to meet with Tia, she might be the perfect girl for you!
