Story
Woof woof, folks! It's your pal, King, here to share a little piece of my journey with you. You know, life has a funny way of throwing curveballs at us, doesn't it? But hey, I'm proof that even in the darkest of times, there's always a glimmer of hope. I'm a 3-year-old boxer mix, and my name is King—I guess you could say I'm on a quest to live up to that regal title. When they found me, I was a mess, scared of my own shadow. People had done some pretty awful things to me, things I'd rather not dwell on. But I made a promise to myself: never again would anyone hurt me. I built up walls, thick and tall, to keep the world at bay. But then, something changed. Slowly but surely, the kind souls here began to chip away at those walls. It wasn't easy—I'll admit, I'm still a bit wary. But I'm learning to trust again, one treat and belly rub at a time. And you know what? I'm even learning some cool tricks along the way! Now, here's the thing: I'm ready for my next adventure, and that means finding my forever home. I think I'd do best with a single person—a true friend who understands what it's like to have a tough shell but a soft heart underneath. So, are you ready to take a chance on a scrappy guy like me? If you are, come on down and meet me. Let's see if we're a match made in heaven. #RescueDog #AdoptDontShop #KingTheBoxer #ForeverHomeNeeded The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, Frontline application, spay or neuter surgery, collar, ID tag and a leash.  A $35 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the pet for you for 5 days.  The Shelter is open Tuesday to Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, Friday 10am-3pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.  Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at: adopt@orangeburgspca.org  April 23, 2024, 12:14 am

Story
Ace aka Peabody is a sweet boy looking for his fur ever home. Ace came to us very skinny and in need of much love. He was also heartworm + and has just finished his last treatment. He is sweet and loving, but would need to be the only dog. He does not do well with other dogs or cats. He is energetic and also laid back at times. He is working on his potty training and he pulls a little on a leash. He loves to play ball and will fetch and he has other toys he likes. He would make a great addition to a loving family with energy and time for him.  Call us today about Ace!

Hi, my name is Spot! I am a very special dog here at Pawmetto Lifeline. I am deaf and looking for an experienced adopter who can understand the boundaries and consistent training I will need. I would definitely do best in a quiet home with no children. I am very food-motived, goofy, and loving. I am patiently waiting to meet my new forever family-maybe that could be you!If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Story
Hi, my name is Jordache! (But I answer to 'Hooch')My foster found me running around on a busy road and I ended up on his front doorstep. I am a big guy really loves my family and I have been having so fun with their dogs. I have the attitude of a puppy and I am very loving. I love my toys almost as much as food ??. I am very playful and can entertain myself with almost anything! My playfulness depends on other dogs' playfulness, if they're gentle, I'm gentle, if more energetic, I will match them. A larger dog might be a good idea as a companion, I love to play tug of war too!I am a very good watch dog and will definitely let you know if someone is around.I am crate and potty trained!I get excited to meet new people-everyone is a potential friend! I haven't been around children yet, though small ones might not be a good idea because of my size and accidentally knocking them down.If you're active or have a big yard, we would be a great match!I hope to find my forever family soon!.Jordache is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the $50 adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. Please fill out an adoption application at https://pawmettolifeline.org/adoption/adoptionapplication/ or contact adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet this animal.

Story
FALL IN LOVE! I'm Starlight and my adorable factor is through the roof! I'm just waiting for you to come adopt me! I've never won a dog show, never rescued anyone from a well, and to tell the truth, never did anything heroic. I do love to play, love to have my belly rubbed and give GRADE A blue ribbon kisses. I love treats and toys and even tolerate baths (but I still don't understand why I have to take one). I'm stuck here so please come and rescue me and maybe someday you'll find I was able to rescue you. Starlight is spayed and looking for a forever home. The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and deworming, Frontline application, spay or neuter surgery, collar, ID tag and a leash.  A $35 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the pet for you for 5 days.  The Shelter is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday from 10 am to 12 pm, Friday from 10 am to 3 pm, the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and by appointment. Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at: adopt@orangeburgspca.org  April 23, 2024, 12:14 am
