She is a super-sweet 10 year old gal and is a big ball of happy! She rolls over for tummy rubs from everyone she meets and loves people and dogs of all ages! Marnie brings a smile to everyone she meets! She would just love a retirement home with lots of people, especially kids, to pamper her and give endless belly rubs! If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $290 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. I have had melly since she was a puppy. She got hurt several times when she was a puppy and persevered thru it beautifully so my thought in naming her was she was sweet n tough so I thought about Carmel and got the name melly. I hate to even have to get rid of her but I am a mother of six and we have went thru a lot of change with moving and other things so having the finances or the time to take care of her has been very challenging and she deserves so much better. She is a very good dog she is potty trained knows how to sit and stay and go to bed when directedand comes when she is called. She has been raised around my 6 children and is very gentle towards them. She is a very good watch dog but also knows when to stop barking when directed.it has been a joy to have her as my pet and I would just love to be able to find her a home where she can run and play and be loved.

🧡🍂 A Thanksgiving Family We’re So Grateful For 🍂🧡 This Thanksgiving, we’re giving extra thanks for a brave mama named Cindy and her sweet little family. When Cindy arrived at our rural shelter partner, she was so terrified she couldn’t even walk — staff had to carry her outside because she was too scared to move. But even through that fear, she never left her babies’ side. 💛🐾 Today, thanks to an incredible foster, this shy, gentle girl is finally learning she’s safe. Her puppies — now 4/5 weeks old — are healthy, social, playful, and will be ready for forever homes in just a few short weeks. Cindy will begin heartworm treatment and be ready for adoption soon after. Most of all, we want to say how thankful we are for our fosters, volunteers, supporters, and adopters — the people who make rescues like this possible. Carrie is approx. 2 years old and 40 pounds. Kelly came from a rural NC shelter when she was just 3 months old. She has now been in rescue for almost 2 years. She is still very skittish and Leary of people. Therefore, she will need a very patient adopter. Carrie is also available to be fostered. Carrie is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Please keep in mind that our dogs are shelter dogs. We have little if any information about their prior history. We can only tell you what we have witnessed since coming in to the rescue. Please be patient and prepared to train / retrain your new family member. Our pets need time to decompress once they are in a new home. if you have not heard of the 333 Rule, please google it. It will help you understand what your new rescue dog is going through. WE DO NOT HAVE CATS. THEREFORE WE CAN NOT TELL YOU IF ANY OF OUR PUPS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH CATS. We are looking for the right home for our 3-year-old female Standard Bully. She is very active, athletic, and full of personality; she would thrive with an owner who has experience with high-energy dogs and can give her the time, structure, and exercise she needs. She would do best in a home with older children due to her energy level. She is dominant, and has not gotten along with our other dominant female but does well with our male dog and other females. She does have an autoimmune skin condition, which has been well controlled with proper care and has not affected her quality of life. She is not spayed, we would like her go to a non-breeding home. She is ABKC registered, and all paperwork is on hand. If not wanting paperwork- adoption fee will be less. We are committed to finding a responsible, knowledgeable home that understands the breed and her needs.
