Story
She is a super-sweet 10 year old gal and is a big ball of happy! She rolls over for tummy rubs from everyone she meets and loves people and dogs of all ages! Marnie brings a smile to everyone she meets! She would just love a retirement home with lots of people, especially kids, to pamper her and give endless belly rubs! If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $290 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Joey is 2 years old. He is a very lovable dog with all ages of humans, cats and other dogs. He loves the dog park and playing fetch. He also loves swimming and playing in water. He definitely needs a yard to run and someone to give him attention and love. We sadly have to move from a house to an apartment and are unable to take him with us.

Story
Stanley Update 🤍 Several weeks ago, we found Stanley lying on the side of the road after being hit by a car. He was in terrible shape, and we truly believe that if we hadn’t stopped, he would have died a slow and horrible death. We immediately got him to safety, and he’s been recovering in foster care with our director ever since. When Stanley came to us, he was incredibly sick and severely emaciated. He has virtually no teeth left in his mouth and was so thin that we had to be extremely careful about refeeding syndrome, meaning he now gets three small meals a day along with multiple medications to help him safely gain weight and heal. Last week we noticed something concerning — his breathing effort had increased and he wasn’t as interested in food as he normally is. For a dog who came to us starving, that was a huge red flag. We rushed him to our incredible veterinary partners at Charleston Veterinary Referral Center where they performed radiographs and had a cardiologist evaluate him. The tests showed that Stanley has Pulmonary Hypertension. Thankfully he is not in heart failure right now, but it is something we will have to monitor closely moving forward. His x-rays also told a heartbreaking story. Scattered throughout his body were dozens of BBs — in his chest, on his front legs, and over a hundred in the back half of his body. At some point in his life, someone used him for target practice. Despite everything he’s endured, Stanley has remained the sweetest, most gentle soul. He loves people and does well with other dogs, and all he seems to want is kindness. Stanley has survived so much already — and we’re determined to give him the chance he’s always deserved. While Stanley is not currently available due to medical needs we hope everyone can follow his story and watch him become the dog he deserves to be. When Stanley is medically cleared we will be looking for the most amazing home for this special boy

Absolute units… icons… national treasures 🥔🐾 Meet Momma Potato and her legendary babies—Gravy & Mash 💛 This little family came from the same heartbreaking situation—a court case tied to a hoarding/breeding operation where dogs were treated like profit instead of pets. With shelters overflowing, they found themselves stuck in outdoor holding areas, waiting for a chance that so many never get 💔 But then… everything changed ✨ An incredible foster stepped up and gave Momma Potato and her babies a safe place to land—and WOW are we glad they did. Because let us introduce you to Gravy & Mash… these babies are BEEFY 😂 We’re talking next level, never-seen-anything-like-it, built different puppies. The rolls? Endless. The chunk? Immaculate. To see them in person is to witness a national treasure… honestly one of the 7 wonders of the world 🌍🥹 You don’t just look at these puppies—you experience them. And somehow, despite their absolute unit status, they are just as sweet as they are squishy. Happy, wiggly, full of life, and soaking up every ounce of love now that they’re safe and cared for 💕 Momma Potato is just as special—so loving, so deserving, and clearly did an incredible job raising these iconic little meatballs 🥔✨ We’re beyond grateful to the foster who said yes and gave this family a fresh start. From surviving to THRIVING… and doing it in the chunkiest way possible 🐶 Welcome to the good life, Potato, Gravy & Mash… you’ve earned it 💛

Story
Sugar, spice, and a whole lot of love 🍬✨ Our candy-themed litter has the sweetest story—these babies were born safe and cared for in foster, never having to experience the uncertainty so many others face. From the very beginning, they’ve been surrounded by love, consistency, and gentle hands thanks to an incredible foster who stepped up not only for them, but for their mama too. Because of that, they’ve grown into the happiest, most well-adjusted little pups you could imagine 💕 Now, with many of their siblings already off living their best lives, we have five sweet pups still waiting for their forever homes. They’ve had the absolute best start—house-trained, crate-trained, and comfortable with a routine, which makes bringing them home such a smooth transition. They’re playful, affectionate, and truly adore everyone and everything they meet… the kind of puppies who will fit right into just about any loving home 🍭 These babies have only ever known kindness, warmth, and care—and we’re determined to keep that story going for them. They are beyond ready to find families to call their own, where they can continue to grow, love, and be loved right back. If you’re looking for a puppy who has been set up for success from day one and is equal parts snuggly and fun, one of these candy-coated cuties might just be your perfect match 🐾💛 Apply to adopt and give one of these sweet souls the forever they’ve been dreaming of ✨
