Story
We adopted Ollie from a family in central Alabama. He was always a good dog, but was terrified of a leash, which led us to believe he had been abused. We worked with him, but the problem has never gotten better. He is a love bug unless you try to put a leash on him. He needs a person who will be strong and able to control him. He has lived with three other dogs, all much smaller than him, and never offered to harm them. He has never bitten anyone, but he will growl if you try the leash. I know there is someone out there who can help me. I don't want to put him in a shelter. He is a beautiful dog and needs someone who will care about him. The other reason I need a rescue is that my husband has dementia, and it has become very difficult to handle and care for Ollie and my husband. Ollie is 14 months old. Must be rescued before March 13th.

Story
Age: 5 years 6 months Why do you need to rehome Nova? She's very aggressive with my other female dog, I've done training. She's on trazadone and still fights leading to many vet visits costing me thousands. It's not fair for her to remain in a home that she's not happy in. How does your pet get along with dogs/cats? Not females Does your pet have any behavioral notes (digs/climb fences/food guarding/toy guarding, etc)? Toy guarding with other dogs. We call her the fun police when other dogs at home are playing, she gets worked up and barks at them a lot. I think she would thrive in a home with no pets. I love Nova so much she had no training when I adopted her. She's come a long way, but I can no longer care for her. My physical health is declining as well. I can't keep breaking up these fights. She's such a cutie I call her my little moo moo or derp lol. She loves cuddles, kisses, scratches and just being with her human.

Story
URGENT Rehoming needed! JJ is a boxer/mastiff mix and a big, lovable, teddy bear; about 8-years old. We “inherited” him when he was about 3 when his owner passed away unexpectedly. He has remained at the property where his previous owner lived, with the caretaker making sure he is loved and looked after. The property is now being sold, and JJ needs a new home (the caretaker is unable to keep him). JJ does well with other dogs, cats, and children. He has a loving personality and really is a gentle giant. He would do best with a large area of land to be able to run around. He has been mostly an outside dog but as you can see from his photos, he also does great inside.

Story
Xena’s story began on the side of a quiet road, where a tiny puppy with hopeful eyes was left behind. She didn’t understand why she was alone. She waited for a long time, but no one came back.Hungry and trembling, she wandered until she found her way to an elderly couple’s house. Too weak to bark, she simply sat by their door, silently asking for help. When they found her — thin, dirty, and shaking — she didn’t run. She just looked up at them, still full of hope.Though she had been dumped, Xena’s spirit never broke. She chose love over fear, and in doing so, she was rescued by these kind people who brought her to the Humane Society of Lincoln County, to give Xena a second chance at life, and to find her forever home.
