Story
Meet Daisy Belle — a one-of-a-kind little lady with the cutest combination of looks and personality! Our best guess is Bassett/Boxer or possibly Basset/Bulldog mix, because she has the long body and short stubby legs of a Basset with the adorable face and expressions of the other breeds. Whatever she is, she is absolutely precious. She is around 2-3 years old and had all her vetting done.  She needed a little TLC after being on her own for who knows how long.  Daisy is between small-medium in build at 28 pounds.  Daisy Belle is as loving as they come. She always wants to be near her people, whether that means following you from room to room or curling up beside you for cuddle time. One of her favorite things is sleeping flat on her back with her little legs sticking straight up in the air — it’s impossible not to smile when you see her. Daisy will load right up in the car and settle nicely for a ride  Daisy Belle was found after likely being dumped on a farm, and now she is fully embracing the good life. She loves soft beds, chew toys, mealtime, and snacks of any kind. She would thrive in a home where someone is around often, as she truly bonds with her people and misses them when they leave. While Daisy Belle absolutely hates a crate, she has wonderful house manners and doesn’t chew or get into things when left out. She’s also doing very well with potty training as long as she’s taken outside consistently. Daisy Belle may be unique in appearance, but her sweet, loyal, affectionate personality is what truly makes her unforgettable. ##2737180##

Story
We adopted Ollie from a family in central Alabama. He was always a good dog, but was terrified of a leash, which led us to believe he had been abused. We worked with him, but the problem has never gotten better. He is a love bug unless you try to put a leash on him. He needs a person who will be strong and able to control him. He has lived with three other dogs, all much smaller than him, and never offered to harm them. He has never bitten anyone, but he will growl if you try the leash. I know there is someone out there who can help me. I don't want to put him in a shelter. He is a beautiful dog and needs someone who will care about him. The other reason I need a rescue is that my husband has dementia, and it has become very difficult to handle and care for Ollie and my husband. Ollie is 14 months old. Must be rescued before March 13th.

Story
Benji is about 7, a big tank, a big sweet potato who wants all the love and to give you non-stop kisses. He is a protector. He loves everyone and wants to be their friend. He gets a bit too excited around other dogs and will bite them if they try to hump him. He loves little kids but be careful as they can’t put fingers in his carrier. Or if they wrestle too much he gets worked up and will bite. Wrestling and rough housing should be with adults only. He is perfectly fine with toys. We have a 6 year old who he plays with and nothings happened. He does have a medical issue. He hasn’t been diagnosed with Cushing disease but everything else has been ruled out. He has the excessive thirst and have to monitor water intake. If he drinks too fast he will throw up all the water. He is not on medicine. Whoever adopts him should be prepared for vet bills. We would keep him but due to age and moving to another country the cost is too much. We want him to enjoy his senior years with someone caring.

Story
Dewey is a big, beautiful boy with brains to match his good looks — and energy to spare! Under two years old, he’s still very much in his “young dog” phase, but he already has a great head start on basic obedience. He knows sit and stay, responds well to food rewards, and has shown great improvement with recall.   This sweet guy is very affectionate and loves his people. After he gets his wiggles out, he’s more than happy to cuddle up and “potato” with his family. He’s currently fostered in a busy home with multiple dogs and outdoor cats and does well with everyone.   Where Dewey will need continued support is with dog social manners. He sometimes struggles to read social cues from other dogs and would benefit from an owner who can confidently guide him and continue reinforcing appropriate behaviors.    Crate training may be helpful as house training is still in progress. Consistency and structure will be key to his success.   Dewey is looking for a family that sees his potential and is excited to keep building on it. With experience, patience, and continued training, this affectionate, smart, and sturdy boy will reward his people with loyalty, love, and plenty of personality.   ##2668172##

Story
🎬 Brad… aka Bradley Cooper… aka Brad Pitt 🎬 (he contains multitudes and at least 3 identities) Brad has been with us since October 2025, which at this point feels less like a shelter stay and more like a long-running residency. Sir… it is time to go HOME. Let’s get into it: Is he a stout 60lb boy? 👉 Yes. Built like he could help you move furniture but would rather sit on your foot for emotional support. Does he get along with other dogs? 👉 Yes. No drama. No group chats. Just vibes. Is he intimidating in his kennel? 👉 Also yes. He looks like he’s about to ask if you have a meeting scheduled. BUT THEN— You stop walking… …and this man gently puts his paw through the gate like, “hi excuse me I am baby 🥺” Does he pull on the leash? 👉 Oh, 100%. Brad leaves the shelter like he just heard “FREE FOOD OUTSIDE.” …but give him a minute and he’s like, “ah yes, a calm stroll, I am refined.” Does he know his names? 👉 Every single one. Brad. Bradley Cooper. Brad Pitt. Call him anything and he’s like, “yes that’s me, I’m booked and busy.” ✨ Here’s the deal: Brad is 75% tough guy, 25% clingy little spoon …and honestly? That’s a perfect ratio. He has been overlooked since October, probably because he puts on his “don’t perceive me” face in the kennel… but the SECOND you give him attention, he turns into your shadow. Like… personal space? Never heard of her. 🎥 If you’ve been waiting for a sign—this is it. Come meet Brad. Laugh at Brad. Fall in love with Brad. Adopt Brad. He’s tired of paying rent in attention. 🐾❤️

Story
Minnie is still waiting… and she deserves her chance. Minnie is a beautiful black pit mix with a heart full of love—but she’s facing what we often call a “triple strike.” She’s a pit mix, she likely needs to be the only dog, and she’s black—one of the most overlooked colors in shelters. But Minnie is so much more than the boxes stacked against her. Two years ago, she was rescued from a truly abusive situation and went on to bravely survive parvo. Not long after, she suffered an unexpected attack from another dog in her foster home, leaving her with both physical and emotional scars. Because of that trauma, Minnie is understandably cautious around other dogs and would do best in a calm, stable home as your one and only. With people, though, Minnie is pure love. She adores attention, enjoys her toys, and would be perfectly happy living her best life as a couch companion, soaking up affection and treats. It’s been two long years of Minnie waiting, watching others get chosen while she remains stuck in limbo. We know her person is out there—someone patient, kind, and willing to see past the “strikes” and recognize the incredible dog she truly is. Please share her story and help Minnie finally find the loving home she has been waiting for. ##2071626##
