Story
Whip is the sweetest guy around and is looking for his forever home! He is a stunner with a striking face and a beautiful brindle coat. Whip is around 5 months old and was rescued from a rough neighborhood on the reservation. He is very sweet and loves people, but sometimes has a little stranger danger when new people come over. With a little time (and treats) he warms up quickly. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to run and wrestle with his friends. He loves soft cozy dog beds and bones and toys to play with. He's still learning how to walk on a leash and how much fun it can be to ride in the car. When it's time to eat he gets so excited he will jump in the air and do happy dances. Whip is crate and house trained. Whip will be happiest in a home with a yard to run in and will absolutely need another dog that will play with him. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey y’all, My name is Dolly Lu and I’m pretty sure I love you already!! I’m a 8 month old Boxer/Pointer X. I weigh about 35lbs and will likely grow to be 45lbs full grown. I’m currently working on leash training, not jumping up when the humans get home (I get so excited) and the last thing, I’m really not proud of, but I should probably be honest if this is going to work.. I have a thing for socks I know, terrible, right? I promise I will get it under control Now moving on, I want y’all to know I’m House trained, doggy door trained, crate trained, I’m good with kiddos (one of my best friends is a 5yr old) &with other dogs, and I’m smart/treat motivated to learn quickly. I’m happy to go on adventures as well as chill out at home. Speaking of adventures, I’ve been going to the farmers markets with my foster mom and it’s been a great experience!! Anywho, I’m not a picky girl, I would love a family who will play with me, snuggle me as I’m thee best cuddle bug and maybe a family that has another doggy sibling to play with. I’m so ready for a place to call home and to build a companionship with my forever family, and if you think that could be you and would like to meet me then please apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2023, 7:32 pm

Story
I am part of Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters event! My adoption fee has been reduced! *cool, amiable, laid-back* Moses is one of the cool kids. He'll cha-cha real smooth when he greets you and likes humans of all ages. He's a smart guy who knows sit, lay down, and shake and his leash manners are coming along nicely. He likes other chill dogs but generally prefers to trot around sniffing everything to playing. He loves squeaky toys and will be entertained for hours if you toss him something to chew on. Moses is 7 years old and is aging gracefully. He's still healthy, strong, and ready to enjoy an eventful retirement! Visit www.cachehumane.org for more information on how to adopt me!

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he is being treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  We will provide the medication to continue his treatment.   If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life. Trust us, it'll be a decision you won't regret. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1714321##

Story
Meet Dexter, the playful goofball with a heart of gold! He's on a mission to find his forever home and he's ready to steal your heart. Not only is Dexter great at making friends, but he's also loves car rides. He is good with both dogs, cats, and kids. He's the perfect companion for leisurely walks and can't resist a belly rub. But there's more to Dexter than meets the eye - he's already mastered housebreaking and crate training and is eager to learn new tricks. Sadly, Dexter's dad had to surrender him when he was deployed in the military. Now, we're hoping to find Dexter a loving home where he'll be cherished forever. If Dexter has captured your heart, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org to complete an adoption application. We'll get back to you within a day or so to set up a phone interview and make sure Dexter finds his perfect match. Let's make Dexter's dreams come true and give him the loving home he deserves! Story
OBSERVIED BY SHELTER STAFF:Roscoe is a bit shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly. If you are looking for a guard dog, Roscoe fits the bill – he looks intimidating behind a barrier, but is sweet once he knows you. He is not a fan of small children, fast movement or loud noises. He will sit at your feet and paw at you for more attention. The best home for Roscoe would be one that has a yard, adults, teen-age kids and a person to reassure him that everything is okay if he gets scared/nervous. He needs some work not pulling on the leash when going for walks, but appears house trained and knows the sit and shake commands. He LOVES toys; they are his happy place!Shelter life is hard for him, so the sooner he can be adopted, the better. Weighs 87 pounds; $25 to adopt.
