Story
Hello, I'm Noelle. I'm a sweet, friendly, and gentle soul. I'm mellow most of the time, but I can be brave when it's needed. I'm pretty smart, too. I love cuddles, and I'm fiercely loyal. My favorite place in the world is right by my human's side. I'm a great companion, and I promise to make your days brighter. I'm not just a pet, I'm a friend, a confidante, a source of joy. I'm here, waiting for my forever home. Will you be the one to give it to me? Adopt me, and I promise to be the best friend you've ever had. This pet is eligible for the PETS FOR PATRIOTS adoption program. Adoption Process If you are ready to meet the pet, please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10666/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, her adoption fee is being sponsored by a generous donor! ##2257339##

Story
Hello, I'm Grell, your future best friend. I'm as sweet as honey, and my loyalty knows no bounds. I'm smart too, I can fetch like a champ! You should see me with my toys, I'm unbeatable. Now, about my past, it's quite magical. I used to live in a kingdom of dogs, where I was a knight, protecting my fellow canines with my toy sword. One day, a magical portal opened, and I ended up here. I believe it was fate, guiding me to my forever family. I'm waiting for you, ready to fill your life with joy, love, and a lot of fetch games! Story
Fran is a sweet and bubbly Boxer mix who lives for treat time! If you love hanging out in the kitchen, she’ll be right by your side, ever hopeful that any bag you grab holds snacks. Her excitement is contagious — though she’s still learning to sit patiently for treats! This gentle girl is slowly coming out of her shell and learning to enjoy cozy time with her dog friends. She’s incredibly submissive and hasn’t met a pup she doesn’t like. When feeling overwhelmed, Fran simply retreats to her safe spot — often her bed or the kitchen. Walks can be a bit scary at first, but once she gets going, she really shines. She’s working on potty training and improving every day. Fran would thrive in a calm home with older kids and, ideally, another dog to help guide her. She came to us unsure of the world, but with love and patience, she’s blossoming into the sweetest companion. Fran is proof that a little kindness goes a long way. Story
Meet the Candy Crew: Reeses Cup, Mallo Cup, Snickers, Sugar Baby & Baby Ruth! 🍬🐶 These five sweet Boxer/Lab mix pups are about 8.5 weeks old and currently weigh around 6 lbs each. Don’t let their small size fool you—they are packed with playful energy, joyful wiggles, and a whole lot of love to give. Each one is incredibly social, affectionate, and ready to find a forever family that will cherish them. Their story almost ended before it could begin. These babies were on the list at a high-risk shelter after another rescue had to back out at the last minute due to an emergency. That left Reeses Cup (male), Mallo Cup (female), Snickers (female), Sugar Baby (female), and Baby Ruth (female) in immediate danger. But we couldn’t let that be the end of their story—Sunny Bear Rescue stepped in just in time to give them a real shot at life. Now, these candy-sweet pups are safe and searching for homes where they can grow, thrive, and be adored. Whether you’re looking for your next adventure buddy or a cuddle companion, one of these little ones might be the perfect fit.
