Story
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet the Trails Home Farm senior pup. Marshall is almost 8 years old and has recently lost his home. This amazing boy may be up there in age but you would never know. He loves to go on long walks and runs round the fields with his toys. He is such a sweet boy and would always love to be by your side. He will come up for butt scratches and end up taking a nap from soaking up all your love. Marshall has so much personality and has quickly become a staff favorite. The old guy has been struggling to adjust to the kennel life and who can blame him? He deserves to find a place to spend his golden years and be loved by his people. He is so full of love and cant wait to find his people to make them happy for the rest of his life. ESTIMATED WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 65 pounds. KNOWN WITH DOGS: Marshall is picky about his dog friends and would do best as the only dog in the home. KNOWN WITH CATS: Marshall would do best with no cats. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Marshall would do best as the only child. KNOWN CUES: Sit, Down, Wait, Come KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Marshall was reportedly house trained in his former home. Story
We named her Promise because we had no more room on the transport to bring her and we told her that we would come back for her. We kept our word - and we are so glad we did. She had puppies at some point before she was dumped at the poor rural shelter, but she did not come with any of her puppies. This alone must have been awful for her to be separated from her pups. She was very shut down when we got her but now that she is in a foster home she is coming out of her shell and wants to play with the fosters other dogs. And she plays like a boxer which is so cute! Her foster mom says of Promise that ""she is super cute and friendly and just wants to be around me and my son."" She has very good house manners, ,does not chew, is great in a crate and is house broken. We listed older children because she seems scared of small children. We have told Promise that life will be very different from this point on she will have a home with someone who will love her and be kind to her. This is another promise we have made to this sweet dog. If you are interested in Promise, and helping us keep our promises to her, please let us know. Questions About this Animal? Story
Ferris is a sweet little dog with a lot of personality. Here is what our wonderful kennel manager shared with us about this cute fella: “Ferris is very clean in his kennel …. although he likes bringing leaves inside to play with! He always sits when told. He may vibrate while sitting, but he still does a very good sit! He enjoys playing with other dogs. His favorite toy is a 3 foot long braided rope toy. He tosses it up in the air & has a lot of fun with it. He recently learned how to play tug of war with the rope:) He’s still a bit green on a leash but I leash-walk him to the play yard most days so he’s getting much better. I think he’d like to have some young boys & girls to play with. Ferris loves taking long walks & going on new adventures. He probably hasn’t ever had a pup cup yet, so there’s lots of things he needs to learn about! “ If you are interested in meeting this adorable little dog please let us know. Story
-ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 35-60 lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: Born 9/17/25 -KNOWN WITH DOGS: Loves to play with other dogs -KNOWN WITH CATS: Unknown as she has not met any cats. -KNOWN WITH KIDS: She hasn’t lived with children but loves everyone she meets. -KNOWN CUES: Working on sit. -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Housetraining is going well, and she will usually ring a bell to go out. Working on leash training. Does well in her crate. -KNOWN LIKES: Belly rubs, playing with toys, chew bones, cuddling and running around in the yard with the other pups and then playing keep away when it’s time to come inside. -KNOWN DISLIKES: None exhibited. OTHER – Do not seem to be sensitive to noise (e.g. coffee grinder, traffic, etc) Notes from the foster: I was born in care 9/17/25 to the sweetest mom dog ever. Higgles is as adventurous as she is adorable and bursting with personality. Higgles isn’t one to shy away from fun and can keep up with the big dogs. When it comes to playtime, she enjoys all kinds of toys and bones and shares nicely with her other doggo friends. Whether she's chasing her foster siblings around the yard or curled up on the couch for snuggles, Higgles gives 100% of her heart. She’s a playful and energetic little gal who’s learning the ropes—her fosters are working on leash manners and potty training, and she’s already ringing the bell to go outside about 80% of the time. She’s crate trained and sleeps through the night like a champ. Evenings are for cuddles mixed with play and Higgles is always happy to oblige. She would thrive in a home with other playful pups or as a solo sidekick with lots of attention. Like all puppies, she’s in the everything-goes-in-the-mouth stage, so supervision and chew toys are a must. If you're looking for a sweet, spirited companion who is equal parts spunky and snuggly, Higgles might just be your perfect match!
