Murphy is a lovable goofball with a heart as big as his paws. At just 1 year old, this Boxer Lab Pit mix is full of playful energy, affection, and personality. Weighing about 73 pounds, Murphy is a big happy pup who is ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever family. Murphy is crate trained, housebroken with supervision, and does very well with other dogs, although his enthusiastic and bouncy play style may be a bit much for smaller or more delicate companions. He is smart, eager to please, and already knows basic cues such as sit, stay, and down. He also walks nicely on leash and enjoys spending time with his people. With continued structure and consistency, Murphy will continue to thrive and show just how wonderful he can be. Because of his size and playful nature, Murphy would do best in a home with older children who can comfortably interact with a larger energetic dog. Sherbet is a 2 year old boxer and pit bull mix who arrived at the shelter after living his life on a chain. He came to us underweight with visible scars from fly strike, yet despite everything he has endured, he has a bright, hopeful spirit and a deep desire for connection. Sherbet is energetic and playful and loves any opportunity to stretch his legs and enjoy freedom. Once he gets his energy out, he leans in for affection and clearly wants to build a bond with the people around him. With consistent care and structure, he is already showing how much potential he has to grow into a loving companion. At this time, Sherbet is still learning to feel comfortable around other dogs, especially while on leash. We are working with him on confidence building and positive exposure so that he can better understand how to navigate these interactions. With patience, training, and the right environment, we believe he will continue to make progress. Sherbet is looking for a home that can give him the stability and kindness he has never known. He deserves a chance to thrive indoors with a family who will guide him, continue his training, and appreciate the loyal, affectionate dog he is becoming. Hi there, I'm Vega, a 7-year-old, 70-pound, brindle and white boxer. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who can keep up with me and love me unconditionally. I'm an extremely loving, smart and adventurous boy, who enjoys playing, running, and exploring. I'm also very smart and eager to please, especially if you have some treats for me. I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I'm ready to go whenever you are. I have a ton of drive which makes me super fun to work with and my foster mom says I’d be amazing at dog sports of any kind because of how much I like to work. My foster mom can explain more but I need a firm owner who will work me and take me on adventures because I am no couch potato. I am dog selective needing slow intros to other dogs. I should not be around cats or other small animals because of my high prey drive. I do well with kids but best with older kids because of my size and energy. I can be crate reactive and have some barrier frustration, but I’ve been learning to improve my behavior here and am doing so much better. I also need more work on leash training, as I pull hard. Devices like gentle leaders may help me learn how to walk better on leash. I have a lot of love to give. I'm very passionate and loyal to anyone I bond with. I bond quickly and can’t wait to make friends with you! I love being petted and cuddled. I'm a relatively quiet pup, and I calm well when my exercise needs are met.
