Meet Clara – A Sweet “Squatty” Bully Looking for Her Second Chance Clara is a roughly 2–3-year-old, 53 lb gray-and-white bully mix with a big heart tucked inside her compact, “squatty” frame. She first came to us as a stray on 9/22 after roaming the area for several weeks. Though unclaimed, it was clear she had once been cared for — she arrived in good condition and had previously had a litter. Clara was recently adopted but has been returned, through no fault of her own. In her temporary home, she showed her family so much love and proved what a good girl she is. She is housebroken and crate trained, making her transition into a new home much easier. Shelter life can be overwhelming for Clara, and she may seem a little shy or shut down in her kennel. But once she’s away from the noise, she completely lights up. Clara rides calmly in the car, walks beautifully on leash, interacts well with other dogs, and will sit politely for treats. She loves her outings, but the hardest part is bringing her back — her tail tucks when she re-enters the shelter, a clear reminder of how much she longs for a home of her own. Clara is young, resilient, and full of love. She’s ready for a stable, patient family who will give her the consistency and kindness she’s been missing. Story
Bruno is a 4yo male American Bully who is kid friendly but does not mesh well with other dogs. He's irritated easily by other male dogs specifically, but does well with female dogs. This is likely due to lack of interaction with other dogs as he has limited to no contact with other animals. He's very spoiled, affectionate, loves to cuddle, jump and eat. He loves to follow you around and literally go where you go. He loves car rides and chew toys. Bruno is trainable and knows some simple commands, I've tried training in the past but was way too costly. Bruno is fixed and up to date on all shots/records (records of service can be provided). He does not fancy visits and absolutely hate having his nails clipped!! I'm looking to rehome because I honestly cannot give him the attention he needs. I would love for him to go to a great home with family who can introduce him to the things I have failed to do so (daily walks, dog parks, exposure to other animals, etc).

Hello, I’m Hazel, a 5-year-old American Bulldog mix with a white and tan coat and a big smile. I’m a playful and sweet girl who loves to have fun and cuddle with my people. I’m spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I’m house and crate trained, but I need some help learning to walk better on a leash. I get so excited to go for walks, and I’m very strong which means I can pull hard. I need an owner who can handle me and teach me some manners. I’m good with older children and other dogs, especially mellow ones. We don’t know how I feel about cats, but I can be cat-tested if you want. I have a lot of energy and I like to run around and play with balls. But I also like to relax and nap in my own space. I have a large kennel where I feel comfortable and safe. I don’t like to be outdoors for too long, I prefer to be inside with my people. I’m afraid of being abandoned, so I don’t like to go far from home. I have some digestive issues, so I need a special diet of lamb and rice. I also need to be crated when I’m not supervised, because I can chew on things. I’m a big girl, about 77 pounds, and I can be clumsy sometimes. I would not do well with small kids, because I might knock them over. But if you are used to large dogs, you will love me. I’m a gentle giant who just wants to be loved. I have a lot of potential and I’m ready to show you what a great dog I can be. I’m being fostered in New Kent, VA but I can be transported to other states for the right home. If you think you are the one for me, please fill out an application and let’s meet. Hi there, I'm Jace, a white and brown bulldog mix. I'm 55 pounds and as sweet as ever. I love nothing more than to snuggle up next to somebody and get belly rubs and head scratches. I'm also smart and have been working on sit, down, and leave it. I could learn more commands as I'm a motivated learner. Anything for a treat! My favorite toys include a Kong filled with kibble or peanut butter, bones, and stuffed animals. I like to play fetch (although I don’t always want to give the ball back) and tug of war! I would do great as somebody’s best friend. I like to follow you around the house and chill with you. I’m a goober! I don’t quite understand my size and will try to sit directly in your lap just to be close. I'm working potty and crate training but walk great on the leash. I'm not good with dogs, likely out of fear rather than true aggression. I was chained in a yard for most of my life before I was rescued. I was nothing but skin and bones from starvation which has now caused me to guard my food. I love cats except if they come around my food. One side of my face will never fill in due to what the vet thinks is an old injury, but that doesn't stop me from being a cuddly lover. I am neutered and vaccinated. I was heartworm positive, but I've completed treatment. I'm currently in Hampton, VA but I can be transported out of state for the right home. Please note, there may be a transport fee if volunteer transport cannot be arranged. If you're looking for a loving companion, I'm here for you!
