Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he is being treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  We will provide the medication to continue his treatment.   If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life. Trust us, it'll be a decision you won't regret. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1714321##

Story
Hello! My name is Char Char, or Char binkies, or Charmander, or whatever other goofy nick name you can come up with! I am currently four years old and a healthy 45(ish) pounds. I love to be the center of attention, have all the toys I can dream of and simply be near my favorite people. Being a couch potato is where its at. Lounging around in the house with my favorite toys is the best. Outside is still all fun for the adventures to experience! I have been hiking, camping and seen mulitple states. Having siblings can be fun but I prefer to be the only one in the house so I recieve all the toys, lovings and attention. As long as you're petting me I am content with life.

Story
Rona is a sweet and happy bully mix pup with an estimated birthdate of 07/25/2023. She originated in Mexico and was brought to the states to find a brighter future as a companion dog. She came to Murci's Mission when her original rescuer wanted to seek additional assistance with placing her.  Rona is silly and fun loving with an easy going but willing to participate demeanor. She can be energetic, but she's accustomed to living in a home setting and she's doing well with her self control. She is friendly to cats, dogs, and kids and could be as active or relaxed as her new family preferred she be as long as she can spend time with the people she loves.  Rona is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. She is easy to care for and will be a joy for any family seeking an affectionate and snuggly dog. She comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.  Her adoption fee is $300 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, and medical records. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  Thank you for considering Rona!  ##2063854##

Story
Dopey is an adorable and vivacious American Pit Bull Terrier mix with an estimated birthdate of 12/30/2022. He is a beautiful blue brindle and white pattern. He was originally found stray by a local community member who did her due diligence in searching for his owners, but no one came forward and now he's on the hunt for a new home.  Dopey did arrive with a severe skin infection and chronic skin inflammation which he is being treated for. He will likely always need allergy management care, which includes costco salmon and sweet potato kibble and a daily apoquel pill. The appquel may be a lifelong treatment and it runs approximately $90 per month.  Dopey is highly athletic dog who will be able to accomplish any goal with a dedicated and competent handler. He would love to be involved in basic dog sports like disc, fast cat, or potentially bikejorn etc, but he would also be happy to just spend time with an active person who walks and hikes regularly. Dopey is friendly to dogs but can be over the top and needs to work on his greeting skills so he's not overwhelming to the other dogs. He does have prey drive and chases cats and small animals, so he is not suitable in a home with small animals. He is also not a good candidate for the dog park because his self control skills and lack of social awareness will be magnified and negatively impacted in an uncontrolled group setting.  Dopey loves all people he meets and he's great with kids. He is also crate trained and working on leash training and finishing touches on house training.  Dopey's adoption fee is $200 and includes his leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, and apoquel. He comes neutered, vsccinated, microchippd and dewormed. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  Thank you for checking out our boy!  ##2075821##

Story
Bandit's adventure spirit brings joy to everyone in his life. Though dealt a bad deck of cards previously, this awesome dog is living his best life.  The injury is unknown, and we were never able to get any real information, so we just concentrate on his care.  Our doctors all agree he is not in pain. We just keep him comfortable and enjoying life.   Bandit likes playing with the other dogs, he is super fast on his wheels and loves to go on runs thru the woods. He is a champion cuddler.   He will come with his chair and ski mods, and we can do some training if you are wanting to adopt this special guy, but are not sure about the aids and how they help with the day to day.  He doesn't need his chair all the time. He spends most of the time out of it, actually.  He has some use of his legs, and gets around the yard quite well.  Check out his videos! Here is what his foster mom has to say:  Sweet and pretty chill. Lots of naps and doesn’t like getting off the couch in the mornings lol he gets zoomies like other dogs just a little wobbly lol. Loves car rides and his daily walks. Gets along with other dogs. Will chase cats.   The adoption fee is $175 and Bandit has all his vaccinations, microchip, neuter and more. ##940630##

Story
**** DOG NOT AT CAC ***Hi my name is Honey or Mama Honey. I made the long journey up to north Idaho with my babies from California. I have had a pretty rough start to life and I am still learning how to share some of my things but, despite that I am a delightful and affectionate girl and, can you guess how I got my name, it's because I am as sweet as honey! I squint when I smile and I require belly rubs. I have been staying with a foster family and I have really enjoyed my time there but, I am ready to find myself a furrever home! I enjoy having the littles running around and may even enjoy dogs my size, but I'm not to sure how I feel about the small ones. I do however need a home with no cats! I am working on my leash manners and recall. I am ready to settle into my second shot at life. Please be sure you have the right amount of time space and recourses to care for me for the rest of my life. For more information and potential adoption, fill out my pre-adoption questionnaire and the dog techs will contact my foster mom to schedule an appointment. My adoption fee includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, Rabies vaccine, and microchip.

Story
Joji was in multiple shelters from when he was a baby until he was 1.5 yrs old - when I adopted him. His birthday is 1/22/2019 so he is 5. Joji is my best friend but unfortunately life happens and I am relocating and am not able to bring him with. He is great with dogs, cats, and children. Joji is going to do best with someone that can give him lots of love and time. He is house trained, very well behaved and all he wants is to be by your side. He is a gentle giant and such a lover, I’ve never met a better dog in my life. This breaks my heart and all I want is for him to go to someone that will give him all the love in the world.
