Without a home commitment, he won’t be able to make the trip. Meet Chico Chico’s story is one of heartbreak and unfair circumstances. This 4-year-old mixed-breed boy did nothing wrong and is losing the only home he has ever known due to sudden housing restrictions beyond his family’s control. Chico was surrendered after the landlord in the trailer park where he lived gave residents just three days to remove their dogs or face eviction. Chico’s family loved him deeply and took excellent care of him. They tried everything they could in those three days to keep him, but ultimately had no other option. Despite this traumatic and confusing change, Chico remains a super sweet, calm, and gentle soul. He is an all-around good guy with an easygoing temperament and a loving heart. Chico is the kind of dog who fits right in — quiet, affectionate, and happy just being near his people. Chico is short, stocky, and thick, weighing about 50 pounds, but he does not appear large at all. He is already neutered and heartworm negative, making him ready to settle into a new home right away. He would do well in many types of households and is simply looking for a family who will give him the stability and love he lost through no fault of his own. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter.
