Story
***** Fostered in New Berlin, Wi ***** Ruthie is an adorable 4 month old, female, mixed breed puppy. She has a beautiful tan coat coat and the prettiest eyes. We expect her to be a medium-sized adult. She enjoys people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. She is potty trained at her foster home, however her new family should be prepared to do additional training while she learns the routine at her new home in WI as she is just a young puppy. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and health certificate from a veterinary examination which certifies her to be in good condition. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. Story
*Boeing is currently being fostered at a Training Facility. Interested adopters will have an appointment scheduled to meet him after an adoption application has been approved Meet Boeing! Boeing is 1-2 years old and is thought to be a Hound/Boxer type mix. We can't know for sure without a DNA test, but we do know that he's 40 ish pounds of pure bred CUTE! Boeing came to us from another WI shelter because they were full/over capacity. Before that, Boeing belonged to someone who had unfortunately dumped him on a pretty busy road. As soon as the owner was contacted and confronted about his abandonment, they halted all contact with authorities and the shelter employees were never able to learn his real name. We do wish that we could find him justice, but at the end of the day, it's most important that he's safe and now he's ready to find a family who would never even think of doing something like that to him. No dog deserves that! Boeing is the sweetest boy. He's friendly, protective, active, seems to loves car rides & knows basic commands! He is one of the smartest dogs you could ever meet. He's young, so his new family should expect to continue any training needs he may still have. He should do well with other dogs and kids as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. We were told by the other shelter that he seems overly-interested around kitties, so he could potentially do well with the right experienced owner. Boeing has been severely let down by humans, which is hard to think about. However, all we can do now is focus on his bright & happy future! If you'd like to be a part of that journey, follow the link below! We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been generally approved: https://www.co.monroe.wi.us/departments/dog-control/online-animal-adoption-application Boeing is fully vaccinated and will be neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $200.

Story
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Hi, My name is Claus! My foster family describes me as one of the sweetest boys they’ve had. I love to cuddle with them on the couch, bed, or floor. I like to sneak in and snuggle up next to my lab foster brother too. But I will give you space and lay in my own spot if you need it. I am a curious boy and love exploring every inch of the house and yard. I am doing really well learning good house manners but my foster parents still keep an eye on me and make sure not to keep food on the counter so as not to tempt me! Before I came to my foster family I was in a kennel and got along with all of the dogs. I love running the fence with the neighbor dog. I love hanging out with my foster lab brother and I've been very calm and respectful with every dog I meet. When it comes to walks, I am excellent and like to stick by your side and I never pull. I am a fast learner because I LOVE getting treats! I use a doggy door to go outside by myself to potty but if the door is closed I know to whine by the door so my family will let me out. I get a treat for going potty outside and I even learned that if I go out to pee and then come back in for a treat, I can go right back out and poop and come back in for a second treat! I also already know sit, down, off and I am continuing to learn new behaviors! I totally match my family's energy. If we want to sit around the house watching holiday movies all day then I’m in. If we want to go for a long walk I love that too. If you want to run around the yard with extreme zoomies I’m always ready. The one thing my foster family is working on with me is my separation anxiety. I am on some medication to help me right now. When my family leaves I have to go in a crate because they don’t want me to get into anything and tear it up. The meds are really helping me be calm in the crate when they are at work, but sometimes I whine and bark. But I don’t chew or paw at my kennel. At night my foster family puts a gate up so I stay upstairs with them and my foster brother and I do great. When they take a shower I have no issues having run of the house with my foster brother while I am away from them during that time. My foster brother was having some mobility issues when I first came to stay but now that he’s doing well again my family said they are going to try having us together in the dog room (not in a crate) to see if I do even better being alone with another dog when they leave. I would do best in a home with other dogs and ideally a family that isn't gone all the time to help me work through my separation anxiety. At this time it wouldn’t be a good idea for me to live in a home with shared walls as I can be a little loud in my kennel. My foster family said I have been getting better since I came and even though I can get upset sometimes when they leave I’m always a calm happy boy when they get back and still go in my kennel with a treat every time!

Story
Mocha is a sweet, playful puppy with great manners and a love for toys, especially when she can share (or compete!) with her sister. She’s doing wonderfully with potty training and will continue to improve with a solid, consistent routine. Mocha enjoys playtime, tug-of-war, and staying busy with her favorite toys. She plays well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion, though she could also be happy as the only pup in the home. Mocha would thrive in an active household where she can burn off puppy energy and continue learning. She’s a joyful, well-rounded pup ready to grow into a fantastic companion.
