Story
Congratulations, you've found the most handsome dog in the shelter! My name is Milo and wouldn't it be wonderful if we could start a new life together? Here's the sitch- I had one owner for the first five-ish years of my life and we loved each other very much. Circumstances changed, as they sometimes do, and I found myself in a new town with a new family. Turns out that wasn't meant to be either and now I find myself in a kennel at the shelter. I could be one of those dogs who believes that everything happens for a reason, I just need a little more convincing. I'm friendly with other dogs but prefer to be around friends that are my size. Cats? They're ok, too. I'd be most comfortable in an adult only home as I haven't spent much time around small children and might be too much dog for them. I'm handsome, smart, playful and a little chatty. I need a reason for why my life had to be turned upside down and I'm hoping that reason is Y O U.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
As we highlight our Nervous Nelly puppies today, we can't forget Paisley! Paisley came from the same situation as Kyra back in November. Like Kyra and Hola, Paisley has been very slow and hesitant to trust people but absolutely loves other dogs. Paisley on the other hand, does seem to be taking a few extra steps in the right direction so far but that doesn't mean we're out of the weeds yet. Very recently Paisley has started following the other dogs into the fenced portion of the yard, and doing great at doing her business while out there! That's not to say we still don't have our share of accidents indoors. But, it has been a massive improvement. Paisley even looks and starts to come inside when foster mom calls for her and her friends. The key is Though, do not stand next to the door when she wants in. Avert your eyes and pay no mind or she'll run the other way! Our new favorite pastime is snuggles on the couch. Her massive milestone was not only no longer running away if foster mom came to sit down too. But, now Paisley will hop up on the couch when her foster is already sitting down! Once she even sees the other dogs getting extra attention, Paisley slowly wiggles her way closer hoping for loving too. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Just don't make it too obvious. She's more nervous than a teenager on a first date. Paisley will gladly take treats and seems to forget she's a scary cat, if you're enjoying a snack to yourself by her. Her daily enjoyment comes from antagonizing the crabby dogs here. The louder and grumpier they yell, the better! Like the others, Paisley will need a very very patient and understanding home. A fenced yard will be needed as she will not move an inch on a leash yet. You might as well tie off to a boat anchor. &#226&#154&#147&#239&#184&#143 adoption fee 400.00 May 3, 2024, 4:17 pm
