Story
Rose is a combination peaceful, serene with her people and playful young girl especially chasing her Kong Rubber Ball. Soulful eyes just beg you to let me be yours. Chills out after play and takes life easy. She enjoys all kinds of throw toys and is very good about releasing them. Really fun dog with a gentle spirit and loving attitude. A great combination of relatively compact size, super joyful spirit, focused affection and companion, and fun ! Adoption Process Guardianship Application available for download at http://tinyurl.com/MAPSFiles The Adoption process is designed to help best place dogs with homes that are in the best interest of the dogs and their human companions. The adoption process starts with a prescreen review of an Guardian Application. Making decisions about dog placement in adoptive homes is an "art", not a "science", and there will be times when applications will be denied for various reason(s). This is left to the discretion of the MAPS after reviewing relevant information. MAPS reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is no guarantee that any applicant(s) requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MAPS, or posted on MAP's web site, will be granted an adoption. After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love !

Story
If you are looking for a dog that does not need constant entertainment, a huge yard, or nonstop activity to be happy, Annabelle is your girl. She is the kind of dog that makes life feel calmer instead of more chaotic. Annabelle is a young adult pittie mix with a very laid back personality. She loves daily walks, car rides, lounging in the sun, and relaxing near her people for most of the day. She is great with other dogs and cats, but unlike many social dogs, she does not depend on having another dog around to stay balanced or entertained. She mostly minds her own business and settles easily into the environment around her. Annabelle would do great in an apartment or smaller home because she does not have a crazy energy level or constant need for stimulation. As long as she gets regular walks and some time to explore, she is perfectly content. She does have an adventurous streak and can wander farther than expected surprisingly quickly if she is off leash, so fenced areas are best for her adventures. Good fit: someone looking for a calm, easy companion that enjoys daily walks and occasional adventures but is equally happy relaxing beside you the rest of the day. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Salvation is the kind of dog who will remind you, every single day, how powerful love and safety really are. She is incredibly affectionate and just wants to be close to her person. The kind of dog who leans into you, soaks up attention, and makes your home feel warmer simply by being in it. Her past wasn’t kind—but she didn’t let it define her. Salvation was seized from a cruelty case where she was confined to a small cage 24/7 and nearly starved. And yet, she is one of the sweetest, most forgiving dogs you will ever meet. She’s great with other dogs—even the annoying ones—and has been around cats as well. She walks nicely on leash and, despite her history, does well in a crate. What she’s really looking for is simple: someone to love her and a place where she never has to question her safety again. Good fit: someone who wants a deeply affectionate dog and understands the impact of giving a dog a true second chance. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Some dogs constantly demand attention. Some dogs constantly need activity. Some dogs turn every little thing into chaos. And then there are dogs like Jersey. The kind of dog that quietly settles into your life and somehow makes everything feel calmer. Jersey is a 3-4 year old mixed breed girl around 50 pounds with one of the easiest personalities you could ask for. She is quiet, calm, affectionate, and content no matter what is going on around her. Want to go for a walk? She is happy to join you. Want to spend the afternoon relaxing at home? She is perfectly content with that too. Jersey is great with dogs and cats and has a very peaceful presence around other animals. She is not pushy, dramatic, or overly needy. She simply enjoys being near her people and going with the flow of daily life. One of the most remarkable things about Jersey is how quiet she is. She rarely barks and has a naturally calm demeanor that makes her easy to live with. Because of her laid back personality, she would likely do very well in an apartment, quieter household, or with someone simply looking for a low-maintenance companion. She is affectionate without being clingy and adaptable without being demanding. Honestly, she is just an incredibly easy dog to enjoy. Good fit: someone looking for a calm, affectionate companion that is happy doing whatever life brings that day. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit?
