Story
Everyone deserves a second chance… and that’s exactly how Chance got his name.  Chance is approximately 9-year-old Brittany who was found abandoned in a ditch during the Kentucky snowstorm. He was in rough shape and very sick! He only weighed 22 pounds and malnourished.   Since Chance has been in foster care he has gained his weight back, is healthy and his angel of a foster mom has taught him what it means to live inside with a comfy bed, food and a ton of love!! Once he was stabilized and on the road to recovery, he has been neutered, had an extensive dental with 22 teeth removed due to lack of nutrition and neglect. He only has his 4 canines but that does not stop him from eating and taking treats. He now weighs a healthy 30 pounds. He has had X rays from head to toe and an echocardiogram. He has a slight vision impairment. He is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Chance is a gentle, sweet soul who loves being close to his people. Once he feels safe, he enjoys curling up beside you soaking up affection. He is adjusting to living inside and gains confidence every day. He is crate trained and doing very well with house training. He is only having a few accidents but continues to improve each day. He has learned the doggy door. Chance does well with cats and gets along nicely with other dogs. Chance would do best in a calm home with no young children, where he can feel safe and relaxed. Due to unknown old leg injuries that have healed he needs to be in a home that has very few steps to make it easier for him to move around. He needs a fenced yard so that he can stroll and sniff and do his business. He is not a candidate for an invisible fence. A quiet, laid-back low activity home would be ideal for him. He has learned to play with toys; he will go over to the toy basket and pick one out and quietly walk away with it not drawing attention to himself. One thing we’ve noticed about Chance is that he’s a very quiet boy, he rarely barks. Instead, he has the cutest little way of giving a gentle growl when he wants your attention, which just adds to his unique personality. Sadly, not knowing his background other than his body tells the story he has lived a very hard life. It is the little things watching him enjoy as he continues learning how to just be a dog… with love to give!! He is such a sweet boy!! After everything he’s been through, Chance is ready for the best chapter of his life — a patient family who will give him the love and security he’s always deserved. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a heart of gold, Chance might just be your perfect match. Chance is located in Kentucky. His adoption fee is 350.00 and NBRAN will transport up to 1400 miles. if you have any interest in adopting Chance please email the state coordinators:  Neca neca227@gmail.com , Karlie karliebreana@gmail.com or Amy amypgay@gmail.com if you have any questions. If you have not applied yet, please go to nbran.org to complete an application and your state coordinator will contact you.March 26, 2026, 6:57 pm

Story
Maple is a 2.5-year-old French Brittany who packs a whole lot of charm into her perfect 25-pound frame. Her foster family lovingly calls her “Meatball,” and honestly…it fits. She’s adorable, goofy, snuggly, and absolutely devoted to her people. Maple LOVES car rides, plush toys, and curling up next to you for belly rubs. She didn’t get much freedom or enrichment in her early life and likely spent most of her time in a kennel, so she came to us needing a refresher on potty training and some basic house habits. She’s made steady progress but still needs a patient family willing to keep her routine consistent. She can be a bit curious and may check out items that aren’t technically “hers,” so keeping tempting things out of reach and offering plenty of dog-safe toys will set her up for success. Maple does well in her kennel when her people are out of the house. She may give a little protest bark at first (she just has to make sure you know she has notes), but she settles down and rests quietly once she realizes she’s safe. Maple is not a dog that can live with or closely interact with other dogs. Through training, she has made progress in calmly seeing dogs at a distance with positive reinforcement, but pushing those interactions too quickly can cause anxiety for her. For her comfort and safety, she must be an only dog, and a fenced-in yard (ideally privacy fenced) would suit her best so she can explore and enjoy the outdoors stress-free. She’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Maple has mastered “sit", and is working on more tricks, but needs a little patience since she isn’t very food motivated. Maple is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Now she’s just waiting for a family who sees how special she is and can give her the structure, love, and dog-free home she deserves. Maple is currently in foster care in Wisconsin and has an adoption donation fee of $400.  If you are interested in adopting her and have been approved to adopt, let your state coordinator know you are interested in her.  If you haven’t yet done so, please go to: https://www.nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application to fill out an application.  Your state coordinator will contact you and take you through the approval process.  If your application looks like a possible fit for her, your coordinator will contact Maple’s coordinator and continue the screening process. Maple’s state coordinator is Hallie Barbara. She can be reached at Minnesotabrittany@gmail.com for questions or inquires.   Thank you for considering this sweet girl.  March 7, 2026, 3:26 pm

Story
Papaya is a favorite here at the ranch. She loves to walk and smell everything. She loves to play with her best friend Tofu. She gets along with other dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. She is full of energy so she is ideal for taking on an adventure. She would be best in a home with older kids. She is very loving and always looking for rubs and treats. She is one of those dogs that just wants to have fun. She follows commands and is always willing to learn. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She can be transported anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1499373##

Story
foster, Ginger is once again finding her footing. These careful steps have been essential for About this special girl: • Ginger does not do well with small dogs or animals (no cats). Her prey drive is real, and she will chase. • She can do well with larger male dogs, with slow introductions and in the hands of a knowledgeable, patient GSP family. • She is deeply people-oriented and will become your shadow in no time. • She shows some resource guarding around food with other dogs, though she is comfortable being pet while eating. Ginger loves food and is very food-motivated. Her vet believes this enthusiasm — and guarding — may stem from a time when she lived outside and was underfed or inconsistently fed. • Her arthritis and incontinence are being managed with medication and daily supplements, and despite it all, she still has so much life and joy in her. • She is housebroken, enjoys easy walks, car rides, and long naps — the simple pleasures that make life sweet. Ginger is a sweetheart who spent far too long in the wrong hands. Now, she deserves the very best we can give her — a home that will meet her needs with patience, kindness, and understanding. A home where she will finally be cherished and treated like the princess she truly is. If you are seriously interested in adopting Ginger, please fill out an application here: 👉 https://junosden.org/adoption-app We will first consider adopters located in Washington, as this will be easier on Ginger and less challenging logistically — but we will absolutely consider out-of-state adopters as well. Thank you for caring about Ginger and for helping us get her one step closer to the loving home she has always deserved. 💛
