Story
Ripley is an adorable 4.5-year-old Brittany who is very sweet and loves, loves people.  Ripley is moderately energetic, loves to play fetch, run zoomies and go on long walks.  Once he’s had his exercise, Ripley is happy to lie next to you on the couch to watch a game or movie.  He is very smart and extremely food motivated so training is made easier. Ripley will need a home with a good-sized yard that is enclosed by a 6-foot physical fence so he can run zoomies and watch birds and squirrels.  Ripley will need an owner who is active, patient and dog savvy who can give him lots of attention and understands the exercise needs of a brit.  Ripley is currently in an obedience class and knows stay, come, and walks nicely on a leash.   The ideal adopter/s would have the time and desire to work with Ripley on continuing his obedience and social skills through positive reinforcement and consistent training.  Ripley would do best in a home as an only dog.  While he is fine with other dogs if there is a good introduction first, he thrives on having all the attention.  Ripley is very self-sufficient and can be left alone in his home comfortably, but he would love to have someone who works from home or is home most of the time.     The adoption fee for Ripley is $400.  Ripley is neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped.  If you are interested in making Ripley a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give him, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.  For more information after completing an application, call Patti at 801.841.4053. Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ripley can be adopted up to 1400 miles from his foster home to eligible adopters.  October 12, 2026, 12:41 pm

Story
Penny is an adorable 5-year-old Brittany/Aussie mix.  She is highly energetic as well as a class-A cuddler.  She loves all people (including respectful, dog-savvy children) and is super affectionate.  She also gets along well with other dogs.  Penny needs daily mental and physical stimulation.  She loves nothing better than to run and play fetch and when she’s had enough exercise, she loves to cuddle on the couch with her people.  She also loves to sleep in bed with her humans if allowed. Penny will need a home with a large yard enclosed with a secure 6-foot wooden fence so she can chase squirrels, lizards and any other critters with the bad sense to show up in her yard.  Interestingly, Penny is quite tolerant of the resident chickens.  She loves to play with other dogs and would love to have another play-loving up as a companion.  Given her genes, Penny on occasion has been known to correct her canine siblings if they are not listening to their mom’s commands.  Penny needs an owner who can take her on daily runs or vigorous walks.  If she is not getting the proper amount of exercise she will tell you since she is quite the talker.  Any new owner needs to have the time, temperament, and willingness to both exercise Penny daily and consistently but also work on brushing up her obedience and social skills using positive reinforcement.  This will ensure Penny has all the tools to be the best version of herself.  Penny will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time or works from home.    The adoption fee for Penny is $275.  She is spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped.   She is also housebroken and crate trained.  If you are interested in making Penny a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process and will be conducted by your local state coordinator.  For further information after you have completed the application (and if you are in transport distance)  you may contact the NV coordinators at doglover95966@yahoo.com or wanbran@comcast.net.  Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Penny can be adopted up to 1400 miles from her present home to eligible adopters with the adopter driving the last 100 miles. .October 12, 2026, 12:41 pm

Story
Winter (Winnie) is a sweet and loving 10-month-old brit mix (mom is an O&W purebred brit, dad is a black and white border collie/cattle dog mix).  Winter is well-adjusted and socialized.  She loves vigorous walks, water, stuffies, and chasing the ball. She loves all people and is good with respectful and dog-savvy children. Winter is house and crate trained.  She is extremely smart and has rapidly progressed in her training.  She responds well to hand signals for sitting and eating, she waits to be told to eat, is trained to lie down on her mat when her human family is eating, and she is working on recall.  Winter needs a home with a good-sized yard that is enclosed by a 6-foot physical fence so she can run zoomies and watch birds and squirrels.   Importantly, Winter needs an owner who is active, patient, and has the time and desire to provide her with consistent daily exercise and loving attention and plans to continue her obedience/social skills training through positive reinforcement and consistency.  Preference will also be given to a home where someone either works from home or is home most of the time.  Winter would also love to live in a home with another resident canine companion who is friendly, wants to play and is not domineering. The adoption fee for Winter is $350.  She is spayed, current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  If you are interested in making Winter a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.
