Zena is a beautiful sweet girl that loves her humans.  Her foster parents stated she is a perfect angel in the house and loves cuddles.  She loves sharing a pillow at night and sleeping with the family.  As a young Brittany, she does need her exercise.  She must be walked on a harness and requires more training walking on a leash. She will require a playmate to help burn off some Brittany energy.  Also requires a 6 ft privacy fence for playing and sunshine. Zena is crate trained also. She is up to date on vaccines, Heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. Cats are not recommended as she has a prey drive even though not a hunting dog.  Her adoption fee is $400.00.  If you are interested in making Zena a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process. Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Zena can be adopted up to 1400 miles from her foster home to eligible adopters.June 15, 2025, 7:15 pm

Story
Coconut is the cutest black and white brit mix (primarily setter) you will ever see. She is very intelligent, athletic, loyal, and cuddly.   She is a 3 year-old and weighs 35 pounds.  She LOVES people, and is really good on her leash walks.  Coconut’s foster mom has worked on Coconut’s social skills and Coconut is quite polite and well-behaved in social settings. She even walked politely through a nursery without knocking over plants or trying to eat them.  Coconut’s foster mom has even taken Coconut to work where she either lays quietly on the floor or talks to the other employees. Coconut is a high energy girl, very birdy, and will need a home with a yard that is has a 6 ft privacy fence so she can safely run zoomies and hang out in the sun.  She is going to need a home where her people understand her exercise needs and can take her on daily walks/runs.  Coconut also loves her toys although squeakies aren’t the best since she has been known to tear out the squeaker and you would want to avoid a squeakerectomy. Coconut would do well as an only dog or would be okay with another dog who is not a bully.  She is not timid with other dogs and will check aggressive dogs, will guard, but loves to play.  Coconut can get jealous when another dog tries to get her toys or treats and will tell the other dog off.  When she is corrected she responds appropriate and immediately.  She does tend to play hard so a small dog is probably not appropriate Coconut likes to get your attention by putting your hand in her mouth.  She doesn’t bite or pull but just gently holds your hand until you respond.  A little training should be able to transfer this behavior to just nosing your hand for attention.   Coconut also loves to herd her people.  Coconut does have a hip pin from surgery required after sh was hit by a car.  Her surgery was successful and she loves to run. Coconut needs a person or family that takes her with them for most everything.  A home where someone is home most of the time would also be ideal.  She just wants to be with people and wants to go with them. She is polite and great in every setting her foster family has tested.   She would do ok with a single person that needs a companion for adventures, or with a family that takes the dog with them for adventures Coconut is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $325.00.  If you are interested in making Coconut a member of your family, and have the time, energy, and love to give her, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line adoption application form under the Adopt tab.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process. If you have questions after you have completed the adoption application, contact Patti at 801.641.4053.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Coconut can be adopted up to 1400 miles from her foster home to eligible adopters.June 27, 2025, 3:54 pm

Meet MI/Piper & MI/Lucy-Bonded Brittany Sisters Looking for Their Forever Home Sometimes the best things in life come in pairs—and Piper and Lucy are the perfect example. These beautiful, 7-year-old purebred Brittany sisters are full of charm, love, and personality. Fostered together in Michigan, they’re looking for a new forever home—not because of anything they’ve done, but due to circumstances beyond their control. Why You’ll Love Them Piper and Lucy are truly move-in ready. They are: •          House trained •          Crate trained •          Rarely bark •          Have excellent house manners They get along wonderfully with kids, other dogs, and even cats. Their only “flaw”? They get so excited to see people that they sometimes jump up to say hello—which is just part of their sweet, affectionate nature. Whether it’s lounging indoors or quietly keeping an eye on squirrels and chipmunks in the yard, Piper and Lucy are easygoing and content. Most of all, they just want to be near their people.   Meet Piper Piper is a liver and white Brittany with a big heart and gentle soul. She loves cuddling, giving kisses, carrying around soft squeaky toys. and being close to her people. Whether she's perched on your lap or scanning the woods for movement, she’s always content—as long as she’s with you.  Outgoing and affectionate, Piper thrives in a peaceful, loving environment. She can be a little nervous during big storms or fireworks but handles it well if she has a safe, cozy spot nearby. Meet Lucy Lucy is an orange and white Brittany full of joyful energy and sweet affection. She loves to cuddle, play with her stuffies, and run big joyful zoomies in the yard. Treats are her favorite—in fact, she’d probably commit a few minor crimes to get extra ones! Watching squirrels and “chippys” is one of her favorite pastimes, and, like Piper, she adores people and is always nearby. Lucy is outgoing, happy, and well adjusted—truly a joy to be around. Story
Hi everyone – I’m Susie, a very active 10-year-old.  I love my mom, Lucy, and I'm looking for a home where we can be adopted together. Why Susie and Lucy are such a perfect pair and will only be adopted together: They are bonded at the hip and literally don't like to go anywhere without each other.  They love being together and caring for one another. They love everybody! They are great with other dogs and humans of all ages. (Ok maybe they love cats a little too much to share a home with them.)  Golden years but with loads of energy!  Don't be fooled by their ages - while they are mature, sweet-natured, and well-socialized companion dogs, they both still have plenty of spunk and love to play, run, and explore even while they like their quiet time and snoozing by your side. They are Brittanys with the dial turned down just a tad.   Perfect for the Brittany lover. They represent all the classic traits of the breed. Cuddle masters? Check. Outdoor adventures? Yes please. Pulling on the leash? No way!  They have mastered good leash manners with their twice daily walks (mandatory for their well being and good manners).  Exploring their yard and lounging in the sun?  Absolutely.  Well-behaved and able to be left uncrated in the house when their parents are away?  Mastered.   These two will need a home with a good sized yard surrounded by a sturdy 5-foot physical fence that is secured at the bottom. They are spayed, current on their vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Susie’s corner: They call me Susie the Snuggler! I love to squish my way onto your lap or melt into bed with my mom Lucy.  I do have some arthritis so I’m on daily medication that really makes me feel so much better and allows me move like I’m years younger than I am. My heart of gold has a slight murmur, but the vet says I’m ok and it just needs to be monitored. We did lots of tests so we can keep a close eye on it as the years go by! Susie’s adoption fee is $250.00 (their combined adoption fee is $500.00).   Note Susie and Lucy are eligible for the senior-to-senior adoption fee of $150.00 per dog for qualified adopters ($300.00 combined senior-to-senior adoption fee). If you are interested in making Susie and Lucy members of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab. Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Susie and Lucy are eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from Portland OR with the last leg (100) being driven by the adopter.  May 11, 2025, 4:07 pm

Story
Bentley is a 4 ½ year old, male, Brittany who loves prowling the yard for critters and curling up on his foster Mom’s lap.  He loves to play tug and wrestle with his foster family’s dog and chew on bones.  He knows sit, stay, down, shake, but is still working on not jumping on people and licking (kissing) them.  His previous owner sent him to training and is supposed to be a good hunter for pheasants.  With the way he is in his fosters yard, he sure seems like he would be.  He is e-collar trained and has excellent recall.  Bentley loves cuddling with people, especially on the couch and bed.  He is a good rider in the car, pontoon boat and UTV.  He is very well trained and would be an asset to any family.  He has very soft nails which split very easily and will need special care when taking care of his nails.  The foster can go over the details. HI, I’m Bentley. I am very loving and easy going, and would love to be your companion!  My foster Mom calls me her curious George.  I always have to stick my head in any grocery bags to see what might be in there.  If she sits down, I am always on her lap and I can’t avoid giving her many kisses.  In fact, most of the time she needs to tell me that is enough.  My foster parents let me sleep in bed with them.  I love to chase balls, I sometimes don’t like to bring them back, but I will drop them so you can throw it again. I’ll admit... leash walking is not my strength, but hey, nobody’s perfect.  I am a very smart and loving boy. Bentley will need daily exercise with his new family as well as lots of love and attention. Bentley would be most happy in a home that has somebody with him most of the time as he is very attached to his humans and doesn’t like it when he is not with you.  Because he is used to being with his playmate (Maverick who is also up for adoption), he would do best if he were adopted into a home with another dog to play with.  Bentley loves to play with other dogs. He does not get kenneled when the fosters leave and there have been no problems as long as all blankets are put away.  He’s been checked from nose to tail and is up to date on all his vaccines, micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative meds.  Now all that’s missing is his Furever Home! The adoption fee for MN/Bentley, who is currently being fostered in WI is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making MN/Bentley part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the Hallie Barbara, the MN and WI State Coordinator at minnesotabrittany@gmail.com and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Bentley.  Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.July 7, 2025, 8:08 pm

Hi everyone – I’m Lucy, a very mischievous 12 year-old.  I love my daughter Susie and we go everywhere together so I’m looking for a home where we can be adopted together. Lucy’s corner: Not to brag, but my foster parents say I am pure sweetness.  I like to think of myself as the matriarch of the house:  confident, curious, and tail always wagging.  You’ll often find me  waddling around the house checking on everyone in the family.  Who are you calling old:  The vet says I’m in excellent health!  Twelve years young. Did I tell you I’m rather adventurous?  I love to explore the yard and initially looked for escape routes to go on walkabouts.  My twice daily walks with my foster parents have tempered my desire to roam, although I do need a yard with a fence that is secured at the bottom. Lucy’s adoption fee is $250.00 (their combined adoption fee is $500.00).  Note Lucy and Susie are eligible for the senior-to-senior adoption fee of $150.00 per dog for qualified adopters ($300.00 combined senior-to-senior adoption fee).   If you are interested in making Lucy and Susie members of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.
