🐾 Hi there, I’m your little pal LOU with the BIG heart! 🐾
You know the saying “Good things come in small packages?” Well, once you meet me, you’ll see that it’s true 🎁 I am a handsome petite 2-year-old black and tan Bull Terrier Mix and 40 lbs of pure heart and muscle 💪❤ Don’t let my size fool you, I’ve got a BIG personality! I’m the complete package— good looks, playfulness, a total love bug, brains, and brawn! 😎
My favorite part of the day is anytime I get to be with a volunteer pal! I wait in my kennel until it’s finally my turn and boy oh boy I get the wiggles from the tip of my nose to the tip of my tail! When it isn’t my turn to be taken out, I can show my impatience by barking at other dogs passing by my kennel. But with reminders, consistency, and motivating treats, I know I can learn how to manage the big feelings in my little body. Once I’m outside, I walk very nicely on leash and go back into my kennel with ease. 😇
I’m a BIG lover of back rubs, belly rubs, and letting loose in the yards. You can find me running laps and zooming around with the biggest smile on my face 😁 I may be holding a favorite squeaky toy as well. These little legs of mine never fail me and they’re great for running on grass and running up and down the agility ramp! I know how to “sit” and go “down.” If that doesn’t impress you, wait until you see how I can catch treats mid-air! 😜 Just imagine how much more I can learn with you, my paw-some new hoomans! 🥳 I also enjoy spending quality time with my volunteer buddies, and even at 40 lbs, I try my best to be a lap dog. This is why I am called “Lou, the lovebug!”
My volunteer friends will tell you how sweet I am and it’s clear I’m all about getting loved on and giving that love right back! In fact, my heart is so BIG, I have more than enough love to go around for my new hooman family, but I’d prefer not to share you with other dogs, and it would also be best if I went to a home without small children — I want to be your one and only baby – fur or otherwise! ❣

Lou’s Shelter ID# is 85443. He’s an approximately 2-year-old, black and tan, Bull Terrier mix. He currently weighs 40 lbs. He is already vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and is ready to go to his new home! Lou is located in kennel A-9. His adoption fee is $35 plus licensing (if applicable).
