Story
Rocky is a 4 year old pit bull terrier. He was on his last day at the animal shelter before euthanasia. He was pulled out last minute to buy him time in hopes of finding a new home for him. He needs and experienced owner as he has high stress from being in the shelter for too long. Preferably he'd need a lot of space and he can be stressed, also has some separation anxiety. Not sure if he'd get along with any other animals. He's highly energetic and comfortable with other people. He's up to date with his rabies vaccine.

Story
Meet Potato. She's seven years old, strikingly pretty, and fully aware of it. Pink is her color — she insists — and she turns heads wherever she goes.Potato arrived at the shelter around the time of the L.A. fires, history unknown. What is known: she's in excellent health, almost entirely deaf, and completely unbothered by it. She navigates the world on her own terms, thank you very much. Those terms include: drowsy naps, car rides, and being velcroed to her favorite person at all times. She's crate-trained, a lovely walking companion, and the kind of dog who follows you from room to room just to be near you. She would thrive with someone who works from home or is retired — someone who appreciates a snuggly, low-key shadow with a little bit of sass. One firm request: Potato needs a one-dog household. She's perfectly friendly with other dogs out in the world, but she has no interest in sharing her home with them. She's not asking for much. Just everything.

🐶 BIG on Love! BIG on Cuddles! BIG on Smiles! 🐶 Hi! I’m Brooklyn — the cutest and happiest little roly poly with the BIGGEST heart ever — ready to love you forever and ever and ever! 💖😘 I’m an approximately 5-yr-old mixed breed doggo, who sometimes moonlights as a land seal extraordinaire. Pfffttt…that sea lion Chonkers who’s been going viral? Puhhhhlease! He’s cute and all, but I’ve got the wiggles, the snorts, and the snuggles to outshine him any day! 😌💁‍♀️ When we meet, be ready for 5-star cuddles, adorable butt wiggles, and a generous dose of unconditional love! I’ll confidently trot right up on my cute, stubby legs, give you a proper hello sniff, hop into your lap for kisses 😘… and then spin around to politely request back scritches. Well… what can I say? That’s just how I roll…er… literally! 😄 Give me a few minutes, and you’ll find me flopped onto my back, paws up, ready and waiting for those belly rubs as I gaze up to you with my beautiful, loving eyes. My favorite things—besides cuddling with humans—are playing with my beloved stuffy toys 🧸 and making new doggo friends! 🐶 I LOVE saying “hello” to the friendly, playful doggos in the neighboring yards. My volunteer buddies laugh out loud when they see my play “dance”! Apparently, I’ve got some pretty fancy moves when I interact with a dog! 😄 If you have a doggo at home, I’d love to dance with…er…meet with them. Please do bring them along for a supervised, on-leash meet-and-greet. 🐕 🐕 And hey—I’m not just a good-looking cutie patootie… I’ve got brains to match too! 😌 I’ll sit when you ask me to and walk nicely on leash like a total pro. I’m very food-motivated (treats are definitely my love language 😋), and I always take them gently from your hand like the polite little lady I am. I’m more than ready to trade in my kennel days for cozy couch cuddles, peaceful strolls, and a lifetime of love by your side. 💖Are YOU ready to fill your heart and home with this perfectly cute little package of wiggles, snuggles, smiles and endless kisses? 😌😘 ## See video of Brooklyn at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Brooklyn’s Shelter ID# is 88978. She is an approximately 5-year-old, black and white, American Bully mix. She currently weighs around 40 lbs. She is already vaccinated, spayed and microchipped and is ready to go to her new home! Brooklyn is located in kennel B-2. Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). The cost of her spay surgery will be sponsored! ** Age shown is an estimate only ** THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.

Story
Good Afternoon, my name is Russell and I'm a Wilderness Explorer in Tribe 54, Sweat lodge 12. Are you in need of a new puppy today? I'm a 10-month-old, Bull Terrier mix that will possibly be between 70 to 80lbs as an adult. I'm a happy go lucky, energetic, and playful guy. My friends here at PHS say that I'm super affectionate when cuddling and a full body player with equal parts goofball energy. I think I would do best in an active home with a family that is familiar with Bull Terriers or large breed dogs like me. If there are kids or dogs, they should be comfortable with my rough and tumble play sessions! My future family should be prepared to teach me all the rules but also be patient and loving enough to give me space to learn. I promise I'm a total sweetheart; I just have to get my wiggles out first! If you are looking for puppy kisses and wiggly tails, I can deliver! Russell ID# A0978323 I recently went on a fieldtrip with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: Russell is so sweet and friendly. After some coaxing, he was a great car passenger. I went straight to my house and walk from there since it's a quieter neighborhood. He was a little hesitant about going into our house but decided to be brave and check it out! He was very good on our walk. He checks in with his handler frequently and likes being a good boy. We went to the big field at the school near my house and hung out for a while. While he was curious about his surroundings, he was also very focused on me and interacting with me. I had him on a long line, and he was super good! We played a little bit of fetch with the ball and then just sat while he chewed the ball. We walked back to my house, and he investigated all the things. He is pretty good in nosework, so we played some 'find it'. He did great. He went into the crate several times and tolerated me closing the door. He wasn't scared or anxious. He sat on the couch with me for a bit. He's a very sweet, affectionate guy. Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Cleo's owner threatened to starve her and her puppies to death when he left them at a high kill shelter. She is currently in foster care and doing wonderfully. Good with other dogs - with proper introduction and kids. We suggest a family with older dog-respective children although she has been around toddlers. runs as fast as a bullet. She loves tossing her stuffies 🧸 in the air. She also loves to just chill on the couch 🛋️ and be with her people. Cleo deserves a home where she can be her silly 🙃 self. She needs a home with a family that will include her in what they do. She’s fabulous in the car 🚗 and would love to go on camping 🏕️ trips, trips to the park or beach. Please get in touch with Reunion Rescue and learn about our holistic program and nutrition. Ask about our foster to adopt process.
