Story
Meet Luna, the adorable, perfect girl who looks like she was handcrafted out of sugar, sunshine, and pure wiggly joy! ✨ With her adorable spotted nose, floppy-perky ears, and that “I LOVE YOU ALREADY!!” face, she is the total package: beauty, brains, and boundless love. Luna is basically a professional snuggler who knows no stranger. If you have a face, she has kisses for it. If you have a lap, she has plans for it. She leans in close the moment she meets you and melts into attention like it’s her full-time job. Watch Luna’s personality shine in her video! https://youtu.be/l-2Ik2mJDk0?si=bYCa6Fr62JHQ0xOq Kid-approved? Absolutely. Luna passed her five-year-old friend test with flying colors—no jumping, just gentle love, soft wiggles, and flopping right into tiny laps for smooches. She immediately wiggled when she met a sweet kiddo, and she sat right on his lap, kissed his face, wiggled into his lap, and acted as if she had known him forever. She was practically born to be a family dog. And dogs? GIRL. Luna is the life of the dog party. She lives with a toy poodle gentleman and a 30-lb pittie queen at home, and she did fantastically in all of her dog meet-and-greets. She greeted politely on leash, no pulling towards the new friends. Off Leash, she glued herself to Cupid, a goofier submissive boy, like they were slow-dancing and playing chase when invited. With Harlen, a more high-energy gal, she got the zoomies and went full goofy wrestler mode—taking corrections and bouncing right back into happy play. With Peanut, a more chill, slower guy, she was thrilled to say hi, invited him to play, and respected his boundaries when he wasn’t feeling it. Luna’s dog vibe is “fun, friendly, and knows when to chill.” She would absolutely thrive with a medium-energy buddy who enjoys a good romp but also vibes on couch time. Cats? Luna was polite and curious. She’d sniff, wander off, come back, and repeat. She might chase if a cat zooms, but she was just young and playful during her test. An overnight cat test is recommended, but she’s already showing promising manners. Luna is a very well-mannered gal. She is veryyyy treat motivated, making her super trainable! She checks in on leash and is the perfect little girl to load up in the car for adventures. Since she is such a lovergirl, she would love a busy home, with lots of people coming and going. She could even be an apartment dog, with a fairly active family to get those zoomies out! She’s an excellent fit for: ✨ A home with a playful dog friend ✨ A family with kids ✨ A busy household with lots of visitors ✨ Someone ready for a sweet, loving, goofy young girl Luna is an affectionate marshmallow with a silly streak, a dog-social butterfly, a gentle kid-friend, and an all-around sunshine soul. She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and wiggly love to her forever family. 💛 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Meet Lucille — the one-year-old dynamo of love, laughter, and wiggles with ears so enormous and perky, they practically have their own zip code! This tan-and-white beauty with the cutest little black freckles around her eyes is a puppy powerhouse with a heart full of love and the goofiest, sweetest personality you could ever meet. She’s affectionate, playful, and totally adores people — but don’t worry, she can also chill like a pro when it’s time to snuggle or relax. Whether you’re giving belly rubs, tossing treats, or just hanging out on the couch, Lucille is happiest when she’s by your side, soaking up all the love she can get. We think she's a bull terrier/shepherd mix, but with rescue it's always a guess! Lucille is a social butterfly with her doggy friends too — she loves playtime, zoomies, body bumps, and even little acrobatic leaps over her pals’ backs. She knows how to match the energy of her buddies, taking breaks when the confident ones do, but she’s always ready to turn the fun up to full-on puppy party mode when the moment calls for it. She’s super smart, treat-motivated, and eager to learn, which makes her leash training and house manners a fun challenge — plus, she’ll probably charm you into giving her extra treats just for being cute (which is basically her superpower). Go watch her video to see her in action! https://youtu.be/JdCqya2AGJo?si=iAKT5EhJjk6BqCK0 Lucille’s perfect home is one that can keep up with her puppy energy while also giving her the space to relax and snuggle. She’d thrive with a confident medium-energy dog buddy to play, run, and adventure with — someone who can join her in zoomies, wrestling matches, and backyard sprints. She’s cat-tolerant as long as the kitty is calm, and she’d do best with older kids or adults who understand that while she’s playful and exuberant, she also needs some chill time to recharge. This girl is basically a living, breathing adventure buddy: perfect for hikes, runs, walks, trips to the park, or spontaneous play sessions in the yard. She’s also an expert lap-sitter, belly-rub enthusiast, and professional snuggle partner when the adventures are done. Lucille’s loving, silly, and full of personality — she’ll make you laugh, steal your heart, and bring endless joy to every day. In short: if you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, energetic, snuggly, treat-loving, zoomie-expert best friend who can play hard, love harder, and chill like a champ, Lucille is your girl. 💖 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation FREE if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Mei is the kind of dog who bounces into your day with pure joy and a big smile that makes everything feel lighter. She is a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with a playful spark, the perfect mix of medium-high energy when the toys come out and soft cuddles when she’s ready to settle in. She is a natural comedian. Mei gives full body hugs, showers you with kisses and chases her toys with so much enthusiasm that she sometimes tosses them for herself. At about 2 years old and 45 pounds, she is a charming mystery mix with perky ears, a chocolate and tan coat and a stocky little frame that only adds to her character. She might have a hint of Doberman, maybe some Australian Kelpie and some Pit Bull Terrier. Mei already knows how to sit for a treat and she learns quickly. She is doing well with housetraining when kept on a routine and she trots happily into her crate for a treat, settling after a little whine. She loves to zoom around the yard and will play fetch for as long as you want. If you love watching a dog light up with pure joy, she is your girl. Mei does have food allergies and needs to stay on a hydrolyzed protein prescription diet. When she arrived she had no fur and was miserable, but with proper care she has blossomed into a shiny, happy pup. She will need to stay on her special diet to keep feeling her best. She gets along well with friendly, submissive dogs, seems neutral with cats and enjoys every person she meets. She rides well in the car and would benefit from a fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her zoomies. After a tough start in life, Mei is more than ready for the fairy tale ending she deserves. If you think you might be her match, reach out to us for more information. Meet this dog at Pet Supplies Plus on Saturday, Dec 13th from 12-2 pm CST at 768 S. Jefferson Ave St#C Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Sheba Breed: Bull Terrier Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Female; estimated DOB 06/2018; 35lbs Vetting: Up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped. House trained/Crate trained: Yes Dogs/Cats/Children: Dogs- I prefer to be the only dog. I love my humans! Cats - I tend to chase cats, so I would need to be in a home without any. Kids - I have been around small kids and done well, but I would do best with older kids. Energy Level: Medium to low. I love walks with my foster mom and I also love when it's time to eat. I get excited for both! Most of the time, though, I like relaxing, taking naps or snuggling with humans. Before FAR/My History: I was found as a pregnant stray when I came into Furever After. I had my puppies in the rescue and they all found their furever homes. I've been waiting for 4 1/2 years to find mine and I just know it's out there! Training Status/Commands I know: sit, stay, shake, down and high-five. Things that makes me happy: cuddles with humans, walks, food of any kind and sunbathing. I'm an expert at finding any spot of sun and soaking up all the warmth. Things that make humans happy: how loyal and affectionate I am, how quick I am to respond and listen and my sweet and sassy personality that can charm anyone. Ideal Family/Home: I would love a family that could give me lots of love and affection and is willing to meet my needs. I really am the goodest girl and if you give me a chance I can show you! Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Jupiter Breed: Carolina Dog Sex/Age/Weight: Female/ estimated DOB 10/2018 /40lbs Vetting: Spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventatives. House trained/Crate trained: Yes and Yes. Her first experience with a crate was when she was with animal control, so she doesn't love being in one. Dogs/Cats: She has done well with male dogs, but has had personality issues with other females. She hasn't been cat tested, but can upon request. Energy Level: Her high energy side comes out when she wants to play. She will run and play tug-a-war with a maximum energy level, and she needs to play like this at least twice a day. But when she's done playing, she would love to just relax in the sunshine. Things that make me happy: Food and scratches, specifically butt scratches, and being with her human man. She loves her foster mom and is very protective of her, but she will always want to be a daddy’s girl. She is a terrible flirt and waits all day for an evening of snuggles with her foster dad. She loves her treats of raw carrots and green beans. She even knows the difference when given a choice and she will tell you which one she would prefer at that moment. And if you take the time to scratch her bum she will reward you by loudly purring. Things that make my humans happy: She is so smart. She knows how to give a high five, a regular five, and a double five aka a ten. She also knows No, Sit, and Speak and is working on lying down. She sticks to her schedule of eating and going to the bathroom outside, so as long as her human is consistent all will be well. Working on: Jupiter is still a bit wild when playing. She is not aggressive, but she doesn't always understand that humans don’t play the same way as dogs. She needs someone who can handle a dog who uses her mouth when playing. She won't bite hard, but there could be the occasional nip when your hand is too close to her end of her tug rope. She is also built like a furry little tank and she may jump on you when playing (she doesn't jump otherwise) and you’ll feel her compact weight and her nails. Before FAR: Jupiter lived her first two years on her own as a stray until she was picked up by animal services and was rescued by Furever After Rescue just in time to avoid being euthanized. She was likely never a domestic dog before she was rescued. She doesn't show any signs of having been mistreated by humans, but she will always be skittish around and wary of people. Special Notes: Jupiter is slightly skittish from having been on her own originally. She prefers the flight instead of fight reaction as her first instinct and will need her own special place to retreat to when she gets scared. She wants someone who will be patient with her and let her explore and understand what is expected of her. Ideal Family/Home: Because of her size and background, she wouldn’t be right in a household with younger children. She really needs a family that will be able to give her the love and attention she needs. She will want to sleep in the bed with you where she's not shy about being a bed hog, but she repays with sweet cuddles. She's good on a leash and loves a good walk, but not a long one, so she will need daily exercise through lots of playing. She would not be good in a home where her parents are gone 40+ hours a week. She is a special dog and needs a family that can appreciate her uniqueness. If you are interested in giving Jupiter a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer.
