This sweet girl was found wandering our local community, and honestly… we’re still scratching our heads over how a dog this perfect ever ended up as a stray. She is pure gold from the inside out. Napa is fully house trained, cat friendly, dog friendly, walks beautifully on a leash, and might just be the cutest bull terrier you’ll ever meet. She wants nothing more than to curl up on the couch, tuck herself under your arm, and binge something on Hulu while she melts into you. She has a huge heart, a classic bull terrier face, and the signature wiggle that makes you fall in love instantly. She was also our very first rescue in our new place — yes, that huge move we’ve been hinting at, and yes, that new rescue and sanctuary home base we’re getting ready to share more about soon. She came to us while we were standing in a room full of paint cans, dust, and chaos… and somehow she made it all feel meant to be. Napa doesn’t deserve to sit here waiting. Hi, I'm Lisa! I’m a 6-month-old pup weighing about 32 pounds, and I’ve already had quite the adventure in my life thus far. I was found all alone wandering the streets of Georgia, and now I’m living my best life up in Illinois, hoping to find a forever family to call my own. I’m a sweet, playful girl who loves nothing more than to be with her favorite humans. I also LOVE to play with other dogs and have gotten along with everyone I've met. Since the canine friend I live with in foster is 8 years old and can't quite play all day anymore, I'm also very content to settle down and get to work on a bone. I’m proud to say I’m already crate trained and house trained, so I know how to be a polite house pup too! I sleep through the night in my kennel without a peep and have no problem spending some time in there throughout the day. I’m also steadily working on building my confidence, and I've been told I’m doing great with gentle encouragement, routine, and love. My foster parents say they're not sure what I might have had to go through in my short life thus far, but I’m learning quickly that my new world is a pretty great, safe place! If you’re looking for a loving, goofy puppy who’s ready to snuggle, play, and build confidence by your side, I might just be the perfect newest addition to your family. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
