Hi, I’m Shirley Temple! Don’t let my Resting Grump Face fool you, I am far from grumpy! I’m actually a very happy girl who loves being loved on. I give lots of love back too! I’m a 3-4 year old bully mix and weigh 37 pounds. I was found as a stray and brought to the police department kennel, where I lived for about 2 weeks before my foster mom picked me up. I love car rides, walks, napping, and treats! Speaking of treats, they’re probably my favorite thing ever; especially apples, peanut butter, pumpkin, and banana! I get very excited over food, especially my foster mom’s, but every day I’m getting better and better about not trying to get it off the table! I’m a pretty good girl when we’re walking. Sometimes we see kiddos and other dogs when we’re walking, and I don’t even bark at them! I just stop and watch them, because I love everyone and just want to know what’s going on! I'm a go with the flow girl. My favorite thing to do at home is be right next to my foster mom , whether we’re doing chores, sitting outside or relaxing on the couch. I even try to jump in her lap while she’s working. I do love to lounge, so I may be better in a home with older kids. Don’t get me wrong, I love everybody but I might not be able to keep up with little ones. I’ve been working REAL HARD on potty training. I’ve made a ton of progress since being in my foster home. I still have accidents in the house but they’re mostly on potty pads. I'm even learning how to tell my foster mom when I have to go outside! It’s only a matter of time before I’m fully housebroken! Well, I think that’s enough about me … I can’t wait to meet you and see what you think! The adoption fee for Shirley Temple is $400. Needing a home with no dogs, she still is involved with pack walks and leash skill classes. Maintaining a good citizen, we believe she has had past trama so extended play with dogs gets her stressed and that is why we have required no dog home. Sadly that is why she sits in our facility so long. We really would love to see this amazing girl get the family she deserves.

My current foster family is going to be relocating soon, and I am looking for my forever family. I picked up Sherman aka Big Sherm from someone who was giving him away. He is 3 yrs old. The landlord gave them 1 day to re-home Shermy. I was afraid he would go to someone who might hurt him, so I took him in. Hes a good boy, but needs someone who can help in his training. He is too big & strong for me, Im 62 and cant walk him without being pulled. He likes to nap a lot. It took a few months but he played with my Chihuahua and he leaves my cats alone. He has played with my son's dogs. He would nip at my granddaughter socks and try taking them off. She avoids him, so Im not sure how he would do around children. He needs his vaccines, he is unaltered. He also has a fixable cherry eye. He likes to lay with his head in my my lap & snuggle. I would keep him but I dont have the finances or the strength to train him. He sits & stays on command. Adoption fee will be refunded to his new family after 3 months. He needs someone who is patient, kind, and who will love him dearly & forever.
