Story
Meet Sidra, a sweet three-year-old Boxer mix with a heart as gentle as her eyes. When she came to us as a stray, Sidra was thin, full of parasites, and showed signs of a rough past. Now, with the care and love she deserves, she’s thriving and has discovered the joy of simple comforts—her own blanket, regular meals, and a safe space to call her own. Sidra adores affection and treats, and she loves earning them before plopping down beside you for some quiet companionship. She isn`t a fan of other animals so a home without pets would be best. She does phenomenal with kids and has had lots of little visitors. Sidra is ready to find a loving family who will shower her with the care and attention she’s always deserved. Her adoption fee is $80, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay. She is already fixed! Call our office for adoption details at 815-725-0333. Located in Joliet, IL.

Story
Bodie (also known as Brownie) is a 1-year-old Boxer/Pittie mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! Weighing around 40 pounds, this energetic pup is always ready for action and still has plenty of playful puppy energy to burn. He absolutely loves running around in the yard, playing with his toys, and making new canine friends. Bodie thrives in the company of other dogs and has become quite the social butterfly at Hounds Town, never failing to get the whole room moving with his infectious enthusiasm. Because of his high-energy nature, Bodie would do best in a home with kids 10 and older who can keep up with his playful spirit. A home without cats is preferred. If you're looking for a fun-loving, active companion who will bring excitement and joy into your life, Bodie is the perfect pup for you! Apply today to meet this lovable goofball!   If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . 🥤🍊 Meet Pepsi & Fanta 🍊🥤 Bonded Sisters | 7 & 11 Years Old | Looking for a Home Together Some dogs are friends. These two are family. Pepsi (7) and Fanta (10) are a beautiful bonded pair who balance each other perfectly. Pepsi, with her stunning tri-color hound coat, is playful, curious, and loves to explore. Fanta, wearing her gorgeous brindle coat, is gentle, laid back, and happiest when she’s close to her person. Where one goes, the other isn’t far behind. Pepsi may take a moment to warm up, but once she does, she’s friendly and fun-loving. She enjoys running, walks, and stretching out in the sunshine. Fanta is a steady, sweet soul who will quietly follow her favorite human from room to room, simply because she loves being near. She’s calm and kind, but still enjoys playtime and outdoor adventures. Both girls are: Housebroken Crate trained Dog friendly (Pepsi does best with slow introductions) Good with children Comfortable meeting new people Know “sit” and “paw” They love sunbathing, exploring the yard, going for walks, and then relaxing together after a day well spent. They truly complement one another — playful energy paired with gentle devotion. Bonded pairs are special. They offer built-in companionship, double the love, and the comfort of a lifelong friend by their side. Pepsi and Fanta have that kind of connection, and they’re hoping to find a forever home where they can stay together. Story
Meet Nancy! 🐾 If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate best friend who will happily be wherever you are, Nancy might just be your perfect match. At just 1.5 years old, Nancy is a medium-sized mixed breed with a happy-go-lucky personality and the sweetest heart. She greets the world with a wagging tail and a curious sniff, and before you know it she’s ready to be your new best friend. Nancy does wonderfully meeting new people both inside and outside the home—she’s friendly, playful, and always excited to say hello. Nancy is the total package when it comes to manners. She is housebroken, crate trained, and non-destructive. When it’s time for her crate, she happily goes in with a Kong and some treats and settles right down. She’s also a smart girl who already knows sit, stay, and touch, and she enjoys learning and engaging with her people. Nancy has a fun, playful side and loves to run and jump with other dogs, so she’d be thrilled to have a canine playmate. She’s also cat-friendly and currently lives peacefully with a cat. Nancy does great with children and is currently living with kids ages 5–15, who she happily includes in her circle of friends. When Nancy first comes out of her crate she has a burst of happy energy, but she settles quickly and is just as content going for a walk or snuggling on the couch. In fact, cuddling may be her favorite hobby! Nancy will curl herself into a little circle and gently rest her head on whatever part of you is closest—your lap, leg, or chest. Wherever you are, that’s where Nancy wants to be. She’s a sweet, caring, smart, and incredibly lovable girl who simply wants to be close to her people. You’ll often find her happily following her humans around the house, ready to offer a tail wag or request a belly rub. And her adorable, expressive ears make every one of her moods even cuter. Nancy would do best in a home with a yard where she can run and play, and with a family that enjoys having a loyal companion by their side. If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you with joy every day and happily cuddle up with you every night, Nancy is ready to fill that role. Nancy is ready to find the family she can love forever. 💕 The adoption fee for Nancy is $400. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. If you would like to meet Nancy please complete our adoption questionnaire at www.wishuponarescue.org/adopt. We will review your responses and be in contact to schedule a meet and greet at a time and place convenient for your family and our team member.
