Update 3/22/25 Still available  2/28/25 Ok everyone, Zara has waited too long! She’s a Paws in Prison Graduate and has her Canine Good Citizen Certificate!  Let’s find her people! REDUCED ADOPTION FEE! Zara turned 1 year old on 12/1/24. She’s quick, energetic and ready to meet everyone on the planet. &#239&#191&#188 Zara's life didn't start out very good. She was living life on a 4 foot tie out but thankfully she was rescued.  We believe she is a Bull Terrier mix. She is VERY smart and she has a lot of energy. Zara is not only looking for someone to love her, but someone who can keep up with her adventurous spirit. Whether it’s a long run, a hike, or a game of fetch that never seems to end, Zara is always ready for action. She’s the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a good challenge and is eager to give her the mental and physical stimulation she thrives on. Zara is good with other dogs.  She’s already mastered the art of bonding with her human, and with a little guidance and consistency, she’ll be the perfect partner in crime. A home with a fenced yard is a must and she would love to have a confident, playful dog sibling to share her energy with. Zara may be high-energy, but with the right adopter, she will not only fulfill her potential but become the best companion you’ve ever had. If you’re ready to meet the challenge of keeping up with a dog like Zara, she’s ready to meet her perfect match. Zara knows several basic commands, is fully house-trained, and crate-trained.   Spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Story
Dulce is a very friendly and fun-loving gal. She is extremely social with all people and all animals, but she really lights up when there are kids around. She can be a bit too in your face at times.... but she's still young and inquisitive. She is learning boundaries along with tons of other commands since she's a very smart cookie. And even though her videos show her happy, active side she definitely knows how to chill out and cuddle.

Story
***Seeking Foster/Foster-to-Adopt*** Say hello to Alice, a 5-month-old Bull Terrier mix who’s 28 pounds of pure puppy joy and ears that may or may not be satellite dishes. She’s sweet, she’s bouncy, she’s got that classic “I’m ready to take on the world” puppy energy. Alice is the kind of pup who: 🌲 Hikes like a champ – Off-leash? No problem. She loves exploring the trails with her dog pals. 🧠 Eager to learn – She’s a smart cookie who’s all about pleasing her people (and maybe getting a treat or two). 👧👦 Kid-approved – Loves children and would happily let them be her cuddle buddies and snack distributors. But here’s the twist in Alice’s puppy tale: when she went in to be spayed, the vet discovered she has a very loud heart murmur. Heart surgery is scheduled for May 13th for her pulmonary stenosis at Tufts in Grafton, MA. So, we’re on the hunt for a Foster-to-Adopt unicorn 🦄—someone who can open their heart and home to Alice, and also drive her to her specialist appointments. She’s got a lot of love to give, a heart that might need a little help, and a whole lifetime of joy ahead of her. If you’re ready to help a very special girl write her happily-ever-after, Alice is ready to bounce her way into your life 💗🐶 If you are interested in finding out more about Alice, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Alice is being fostered in Charlton, MA. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
