Bert is a 3-year-old American Bully with a big head, a beefcake build, and the softest heart to match. Weighing about 50 lbs, this medium-sized guy may look tough, but he’s truly a big sweet baby with zero mean bones in his body. He’s happiest chewing on a Benebone, snoozing on his back (legs in the air like a goof), or cuddling directly on top of his favorite human.Bert is fully house-trained and crate-trained, his kennel is his happy place, and he’ll often go in on his own just to relax or chew a toy. He’s low-energy, easygoing, and perfectly content lounging around the house rather than going on long walks. He gets along well with other dogs and is neutral but curious when meeting dogs outside the home, greeting them with a wagging tail and calm demeanor.He’s an independent guy who doesn’t need another dog in the home and does great when left alone, whether crated or free-roaming, no barking, no whining, just naps. Bert isn’t vocal (except for a single mailman incident) and doesn’t require a fenced yard as long as he’s taken out on leash.Overall, Bert is a happy, gentle, low-maintenance companion who would thrive in a calm home where he can soak up love, snuggles, and plenty of naps. Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
