I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I'm just a baby ready to learn all the things. I just learned about toys - they are amazing! I love playing with my siblings so if I could find a new home with a furry sibling that would be great, but an active human family could be just as great. I am working on losing my puppy teeth so I am currently a little mouthy, which small children may not appreciate. If you are looking for an adorable, affectionate companion eager to learn how to be the best dog ever than I just might be the one!   Fish is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/04/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5pm and 8pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. He was being raised by a homeless man who carried him around in a bucket along with his brother.  They were both brought into rescue after being surrendered.  Bucket and his brother have  received  proper veterinary care while in rescue, and now it's time to find them both homes of their very own here in MN.  Bucket is a sweet boy who has found the joy of toys.. lol.  He will carry one in his mouth with him almost  everywhere  he goes.  This sweet boy is not completely potty trained, but what puppy is?  He operates on the puppy schedule of sleep, eat, play and then poop.  Making sure  that  he has adequate outside time roughly 30-45 minutes after being fed is crucial to getting him  potty  trained, and repetition and consistency are always key.  Bucket is not necessarily crate trained, but will come to his crate when called and will go in and settle nicely to go to bed at night.  covering his crate with a blanket to shut out outside  stimuli  is extremely helpful while crate training a puppy as well.  Bucket is a sweet sweet boy that is a bit on the reserved side, he would benefit from a confident resident dog to show him the ways of the world, but he definitely doesn't require one as a stipulation of adoption.  This sweet boy would be happy with a lap that he can call his own, and an endless supply of stuffies/toys to carry around with him.  If you think that he just couldn't be more perfect for you, please fill out an adoption application today!  He can't wait to meet you!   They arrive in Minnesota on 05/04/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5pm and 8pm. We adopted Frank May 5th, 2019 in Las Vegas into our home with a French Bulldog. Frank was abandoned and had no records. We think he was a puppy, we believe he is now 6 years old. Frank got along well (at first) with our Frenchie. After a couple months, Frank grew significantly larger and started to assert dominance. He has shown dog aggression since the moment we brought him home. Frank is the sweetest dog to any human he meets, but he MUST be the only pet in the home. You cannot think you can change this about Frank, you cannot, this is who he is. The ideal home for Frank is one with an individual or couple who have older children or do not plan on having children. Frank loves our baby, but he simply does not know his size, so he lovingly knocks her over often with his bowling ball body. Frank is intuitive, loving, and loyal. He is eager to please and wants to make his owners happy. We are heartbroken to let go of Frank, we just cant risk the baby getting in the middle of a dog fight

PUPDATE 9.16.23 Ferguson here checking in from MNBR. My Foster mom likes to call me Fergs, Fergie, Ferg, I don’t care because I can’t hear her as longs as she doesn’t call me late for dinner. I really don’t like it when other dogs walk up on me from behind me. Because I can’t hear them coming this tends to scare me and I can react. I love food and have some food and attention aggression. If I think another furbaby is getting more than me, I can get jealous. It says I should be in a home as an only dog; however, I have been living with a foster brother for about a month and doin’ pretty well. As long as you keep your eyes on me and know my signs, I think I could live with another fursibling. I love to cuddle and give love. When you start petting me, I will not let you go until I am ready. I will let know this by a couple of friendly barks AKA reminders.  As my foster from Kentucky said I love to play, and I have been having a great time with my foster brother. I haven’t really been interested in toys, but this could change. Sometimes I get so excited I become an ankle biter, but if you grab my attention, I know I need to calm down.  I was able to make it to Forrest’s Garage Sale and meet a lot of new people. I did really good. I got to meet a couple kids and was a perfect gentleman!! I love going for rides, and do great in cars. I have the “lean” down while going around corners:) My Foster mom thinks this is funny.   Jaymi Heimbuch once said “Every white hair is one day of experience in being the very best friend you’ve ever had.” I got a lot of them and ready to be YOUR BEST FRIEND!!!  NEW TO RESCUE 8.18.23 I've been in foster care in Kentucky while I wait for my ride to MNBR. I'm the sweetest, goofy fellow who just wants to be loved and cuddled. I dance when I'm excited! I need to be the only dog. I get jealous with sharing attention. I would love playdates and walks with friends though! I don't do well with the cats - I tend to chase them. I'm free roam and fully housetrained. I like to play with toys! I do get into the garbage every once in a while. I will counter surf because I'm very food motivated. I love to snuggle in need with you. I would do best with a fenced yard.
