Story
Benny was pretty much left on my doorstep. He has shown so much improvement since being here. He gets along great with my other dogs and cat. He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people and dogs, but that is getting better with each day. He is a lover, a cuddler, and a great guard dog.

Story
Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.Super sweet male pitbull about a year oldMessage Jetta.elliott@att.net. Scout is the absolute sweetest boy ever. A little Chihuahua bossed him around with Jo push back. Seriously he’s a sweetheart. He is not aggressive towards other dogs, Katz or anything else, And yes, he is bullied by a little Chihuahua. Absolute love bug. Attached like glue. Never leaves the yard where he lives (no fence). This guy is looking for children to play with. The rescue says he absolutely loves children and a home with children would be the best home for him. But he’s with a lady now and he definitely wants to be her full-time companion… So that would work too. He is about a year old. Currently located in Harrison, Arkansas, but would be brought to you via the rescue network transport. This guy is an absolute gem.May 12, 2026, 9:32 pm

Story
Otis is a sweet, loving, silly, and stubborn English Bull Terrier. He is goofy - loves to lay on his back and wiggle around. He is super chill - one good walk a day keeps him happy, and he'll mostly lounge around the rest of the day. Otis awas found as a stray 10 years ago, when he was estimated to be around 3 years old.  He's been a very loved faimly member ever since. Otis is pretty mellow for the most part, with bursts of energy (aka zoomies) that will make you forget he's 13 years old! Otis enjoys lounging around on his dog bed or the couch. In warmer weather, he'll enjoy lounging outside and sunbathing all day. He loves one walk a day - ideally at his pace, which can involve side adventures to plug his head into a bush for minutes at a time. An ideal home for Otis would be adults only, with no children (including visiting children) and no other pets. Otis can be reactive with other animals, so he must be an only pet. Any exposure to other animals should be avoided or strictly on leash with careful management by a person experienced with handling a strong dog.  He is typically very sweet and calm with adults.  Children can over stimulate him.  The goal is to maintain safety at all times.  For that reason, he needs a child-free home. Otis is house-trained and only has occassional accidents due to his age, but he is very good at using a pee-pad in a designated place when that happens. He is very good on leash for his walks. Otis does have seasonal arthritis, but it is well-managed with a daily anti-inflammatory. Otis (English Bull Terrier, ~13 yrs, 55 lbs) is a sweet, loving, mellow senior who’s happiest with one good walk a day and then lounging the rest of the time. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and in good health. Otis needs a very specific, safety-focused setup: an adult-only home with no small children (including visiting) and no other pets, and someone comfortable managing a strong dog with clear boundaries.  The perfect home for Otia would also need to have experince with his brred.  This senior gentleman will be an excellent addition to the right family.   To learn more about Otis and request an application please reach out to Vivienne by email at  vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  March 12, 2026, 6:44 pm

Story
Brownie is a handsome fellow who has had some rough breaks in his short life. His previous owner abandoned him and is now in jail. Brownie was left with a disabled senior woman who cannot take care of him. She can barely walk so she is not walkiing Brownie. Despite being abandoned, Brownie has able to bond with a new person, the part-time caretaker in Brownie's current home. He has shown no signs of aggression to strangers. The dog deserves better!

Story
Meet Lady. Once again we were contacted about a stray dog that no one wanted...even the person who found her and helped her could not keep her! She was rescued by a lady in NC when it was obvious she had been abandoned and had come to her as a stray. There was another stray dog that she came with, but the family came and got that one, not Lady! She was skin and bones and under her rescue's care she is now a healthy weight and has been completely vetted and transferred to our rescue when no one wanted her. Unfortunately this is so often the case in the south...dogs just dropped off in the middle of nowhere, left to fend for themselves and unwanted, even when discovered and helped by someone. Sadly, without rescue to commit to her, she would have just been another shelter statistic. Estimated to be around 2-2.5 years she is beyond puppy stage. She is a loving dog, walks well on a leash and is crate trained. While with the person who saved her, they said "she would stand up and hug on me, lay besid eme as I sat outside and she did well in the house and would sit on my lap. I worked hard to show her she was loved so that she would be ready for a famiy". At day care she is a social, fun, playful, happy girl who enjoys all her canine friends.
