**Trying to get her an appointment at UCAN to be spayed before adoption; will update post if I'm able to! This sweet girl's name is Ruby! We took her in after someone posted her on facebook saying she needed rehomed that night due to them needing to be hospitalized for surgery the next day. She is approx 7 months old and weighs around 35-40 lbs. We think she is a basset hound bully mix of some sort. She is very long and has very short little legs. She has a very goofy, quirky personality and it's impossible not to fall in love with her. She is very submissive and loves all other animals and children. She's a little standoffish meeting new people, but comes around after a few min. She needs a fenced in yard (she has no road safety skills lol). She would also do best in a home with little to no stairs due to her short legs. A perfect home is a must! She is literally the sweetest girl. We were hoping she would work in our home, but we don't have a fence and it is just not safe here.

I'm a bulldog mix with the cutest underbite, really, I'm a total cuddlebug and love nothing more than curling up close for a nap—or playing joyfully with other dogs. Before rescue, I was surviving as a stray on the streets for months, too scared to trust despite many kindhearted attempts. When I finally decided it was okay to trust and taken in, I had some serious wounds from life outside — I got some TLC, antibiotics, and love. But that is all behind me now and my foster says I've healed beautifully, both inside and out. I have been told that I can have a very serious look but I am gentle, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with a forever family. While I haven't met cats yet, I am at my best and confident when I am with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions or loving humans who adore snuggles. Moose being a boxer mix has a lot of energy and needs a home without small children that he can accidentally bump into when he gets excited. Xhosa (Kosa, Kosie, Kookie,) is a wonderful companion, best known for her quirkiness and full of life personality. She enjoys the outdoors and is particularly fond of water. Her tricks include, hide and seek (sniffing out treats), and “spin!” However, she can only preform this trick clockwise. Xhosa had a brother who she tolerated but would do better in a home as a solo dog. She would prefer a home of older kids or just adults. She is a clever girl, and loves to learning, doesn’t like when people cry or make fart noises. Unfortunately, Xhosa hasn’t had the most stable home life experience. She came to me when she was 3 due to her previous owner having to medically care for someone in their home. Now my husband and I are moving out of the country. My hope for her is that I’ve loved her well enough and can find her forever home. She’s truly a beautiful soul, so kind, she flourishes when you give her the confidence to feel safe. She has so much love and life left in her.
