Hi there, I'm Vernon! I am a super snuggly sweetheart. I have the the softest, rabbit-like fur you’ll ever touch. I'm a bulldog mix with the cutest underbite, really, I'm a total cuddlebug and love nothing more than curling up close for a nap—or playing joyfully with other dogs. Before rescue, I was surviving as a stray on the streets for months, too scared to trust despite many kindhearted attempts. When I finally decided it was okay to trust and taken in, I had some serious wounds from life outside — I got some TLC, antibiotics, and love. But that is all behind me now and my foster says I've healed beautifully, both inside and out. I have been told that I can have a very serious look but I am gentle, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with a forever family. While I haven't met cats yet, I am at my best and confident when I am with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions or loving humans who adore snuggles. Now that my rough days are behind me, I'm ready for a soft bed, full belly, and lots of love—maybe with you? Willy is looking for his forever home! Coming in at 3 years old, 19 inches, and 50 pounds (yes, you read that right), this fat ham is ready to find his people. Willy has an affinity for his blanket, short walks, and Yak Cheese Chews. He does fantastic in his crate, 100% potty trained, and is quiet as a mouse (unless the dishwasher is running). If his underbite, crooked ear, and stubby tail didn’t win you over, he’s hoping his personality will! Apply today! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Where are my bulldog lovers!? Or do you have a friend that loves them? Let me introduce you to Thanos! He is a beautiful merle male, who was sold as a "Frenchton," but who is a healthy 40 pounds and much more like an English Bulldog. He was surrendered with a bad ear infection, and he has been through all his treatments and is healed now, but not sure if his ear is going to learn to stand back up. He is four years old, healthy, and a lover who wants only to be on your lap at all times! Thanos is fine with all of my dogs (10 others!), but he is not particularly interested in playing with them. He, more so, acknowledges and ignores them. I wish he could teach me that skillset! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. I am deaf and my other senses are heightened. So that’s pretty cool! I have some really pretty brown spots on my otherwise white coat. I feel it really makes me stand out in the crowd. I am the main character and I don’t need a supporting cast! I don’t really like being around other dogs and I REALLY dislike cats. Speaking of likes, I really like people. The older, the better! I don’t really enjoy hanging out with young kids and do best around humans who are 15 and up. My foster family thinks I am pretty funny. When I get excited I either hop or plop! I hop like a bunny and I plop for belly ribs. When I see you my entire body wiggles, not just my tale. I’m basically an overachiever. I love to be outside and I even like the snow! I am super curious and alert of my surroundings. I like to walk outside and my foster mom is working on my leash manners, but say I am learning! I sleep a lot, like a whole lot. I play in bursts and then lay down. I like to sit and lay right up against my humans but I’m not a lap dog. Like most bullies, I am VERY food motivated.
