Xhosa (Kosa, Kosie, Kookie,) is a wonderful companion, best known for her quirkiness and full of life personality. She enjoys the outdoors and is particularly fond of water. Her tricks include, hide and seek (sniffing out treats), and “spin!” However, she can only preform this trick clockwise. Xhosa had a brother who she tolerated but would do better in a home as a solo dog. She would prefer a home of older kids or just adults. She is a clever girl, and loves to learning, doesn’t like when people cry or make fart noises. Unfortunately, Xhosa hasn’t had the most stable home life experience. She came to me when she was 3 due to her previous owner having to medically care for someone in their home. Now my husband and I are moving out of the country. My hope for her is that I’ve loved her well enough and can find her forever home. She’s truly a beautiful soul, so kind, she flourishes when you give her the confidence to feel safe. She has so much love and life left in her.

Blitz is the life of the party! True to his age and breed, he’s a pup on the go. Super smart, loyal, and sweet, he loves being with his people. Blitz is super dog-friendly and enjoys high-energy physical play, but respects boundaries and corrections of dogs. Blitz is quick to pick up new cues and would enjoy ongoing learning. During his time in foster, he was housetrained and crate trained. He loves meeting new people and has enjoyed being an “office dog” accompanying his past foster to work on many occasions (though he’s still not very good at data entry). Hi there! I'm Aiyana! My foster folks say I'm a little princess, and I'm looking for my new castle complete with my royal family. I'm a tiny girl, but believe me, I'm twice the dog I was when I got to MVPC. Literally! I had been abandoned behind a vacant house, and I was severely underweight and missing a bunch of my hair. Even worse, I had a nasty injury to my rear foot and it was thought that I would need that leg amputated. My Vet said he thought I had got it caught in a trap. Luckily for me, my Vet and my foster mom worked really hard to heal my foot and get my leg back into shape. I get around just like any other dog! I can run and jump like a champ! I'm a SUPER sweet girl who adores my humans (kiddos too) and love other dogs. Snuggle times are the bestest. I've got my basic commands down and am working hard on my leash manners. Those snackies I get for being a good girl sure help! If you're looking for a snuggly lover, and are willing to help me continue my studies, I would love to meet you.
