When she first arrived, Dina was a high-energy party pup who was all about having fun and exploring. Over time, she’s matured into a calmer, more laid-back companion who is happy to entertain herself when needed.Dina is a joy to walk – she’s easy to leash up and walks well without much pulling, making her a great companion for walks around the neighborhood. She has a low to medium energy level when loose in the play yard and is very treat-motivated. She takes treats gently from your hand, though she’s a little sneaky and may try to nab one before you’re ready to give it! While she may not know any tricks yet, she’s eager to learn and would love to show off her skills with some patience and positive reinforcement. She’s very treat motivated. Dina is barrier reactive towards other dogs. With a slow introduction face to face she gets along with them much better. She`s a bit tense and awkward with other dogs at first, but as long as the other dog is patient with her and able to read her social cues she warms up really well and they’ll be running and playing together in no time. Description Roo is a young white and tan female bull terrier mix with a medium build. She is well socialized and gets along great with everyone. Personality Roo is a very loving dog that gets along great with her foster home’s other 3 larger dogs. She loves to cuddle. She is full of energy and loves to run. She is doing fantastic with behavior, is crate trained, house trained and does well on leash. She is learning to fetch and will sit on command. A smart, cuddly, happy girl. Background Roo was found in September near Louetta Rd and Forrest Lodge Dr in north west Houston (Heatherwood Village Entrance). She willingly and happily got into her finder’s car. She was not chipped and had no collar when found. Has been fostered by her finder for many months as they attempted to locate a possible owner. She was listed on multiple lost /found pet social media pages and websites, but there were no responses. She was in good shape and overweight when found. Meet Butkus....yep he is definitely not a shar pei. Call it a moment of weakness but seriously how could we let this guy get euthanized over some pretty breed specific medical issues which happen to be right up our alley in the shar pei world. Butkus might be the happiest boy ever. He loves everyone. His tail never stops wagging or what whatever you call that little nub. Thank God he is cute and sweet because this guy is not the brightest bulb on the tree. So if you are the person who likes your dogs good looking and sweet and not concerned if they never figure out how to sit this is your guy! He loves car rides but so far is not a fan of walking but we are convinced with the help of Bertha he will realize how much he loves it. He is a good sized boy at 58lbs. He was seen by our vet yesterday and like Bertha did have decreased tear production in both eyes. He will need his cherry eyes addressed at time of surgery. Are you wondering what a shar pei rescue is doing with a pair of bulldogs...well so are we! It was a complete moment of weakness. Meet Bertha. This girl is as wide as she is tall but she has started her intermittent fasting, youtube ab videos and twice a day walks. This girl loves to walk so we are excited to see her waist line start to become visible This girl is great with people and other dogs. She did come in with her man Butkus but they do not need to be adopted together but we would love to see her go to a home with another dog. They had their first vet visit and honestly all their medical issues are pretty much identical to the medical problems we see with Shar Pei. Her tear production was reduced so we are going to assume she will need lifetime eye drops to replace that decreased tear production. Her skin was in great shape but did have an ear infection so an adopter that is familiar with weekly ear maintenance. She loves car rides and walks great on a leash. She is very friendly with all the dogs and people she meets on her daily walks. She is fostering in Phoenix AZDecember 1, 2025, 3:01 pm
