Beau is very chill and likes to sunbathe or lay around mostly. Enjoys walks and playing fetch (hes not great at bringing it back though). House trained and does not get protective over food. Likes to be as close as possible to his owners. He would enjoy a family with grown children as the chaos and noise that come with small kids noticeably makes him anxious. He will lunge at dogs that pass by CLOSELY during walks but, walks well other than that. Does not like the neighbors use of mower and weedeater. Knows the following commands: sit, up, shake, leave it, come, off, place, bed. Loves hearing "walk", "outside" and "trip". Does not do well socially with other animals and tends to want to dominate. Only certain animals who tend to not be energetic, nervous or scared will be ok. He does very well with car rides and walking or running next to a bike.

Background Roo was found in September near Louetta Rd and Forrest Lodge Dr in north west Houston (Heatherwood Village Entrance). She willingly and happily got into her finder’s car. She was not chipped and had no collar when found. Has been fostered by her finder for many months as they attempted to locate a possible owner. She was listed on multiple lost /found pet social media pages and websites, but there were no responses. She was in good shape and overweight when found. Hello, my name is Dotty. I had kind of a rough start in life. Living outside not getting the medical or social attention I need. Due to that I thrive for attention. My love language is Quality Time and Physical Touch. I can't help it. Now that I get it from my foster mama, I can't get enough. I'm looking for a family that wants to spoil me. Someone who will allow me to sleep inside and spending lots of time with me. I can be playful and I can also be lazy. I am in a home with other dogs, but I would love to be the only dog spoiled and 100% of your attention. I am a "girl power" type of dog and draw my comfort towards females. Banksy is such a sweet boy. He`s eager to please and loves to be pet. He`ll happily zoom around to amuse himself when left to his own devices, but he`ll settle right down next to your side for as long as you`ll pet him. He loves attention. He`s so friendly and loves everyone! He’s done well around children, even gotten along well with other dogs. He love attending in shelter playgroups and has proven that he’s great at reading other dogs’ social cues. If they want him to take it easy he will, but if they want him to play rough and rowdy he can do that too! We`re not sure what his life was like before he came into the shelter as a stray on 5/3/23, but based on the fact that he`s missing the top of his right ear we can only assume it was rough. We`re determined to find him a home where he`ll be surrounded by love and he can forget about any hard times.
