Story
Endearing, Reserved, Curious Please say "hello" to Shwhiskers, a beautiful orange & white tabby looking for a forever home to call her very own. Shwhiskers can be shy and cautious in new situations and around new people. However, with the encouragement and the space to work on her comfort level, she will soon reveal her true purrsonality! Shwhiskers has a goofy side that she displays in a variety of ways. When she's feeling happy, she flops on her back and rolls around almost as if she can't control her excitement. Another delightful quirk of this cute kitty is her advanced biscuit-making skills. She maintains a dedication to her craft of kneading that is honestly admirable and will make you want to crown her "The Queen of Biscuits." Shwhiskers doesn't have any particular favorite toys, but that just means she gets to enjoy all of them! She loves playing with boxes and especially likes that they can double as lounge spots. One of her most common forms of play is simply running around. You'll get used to seeing orange and white flashes from the corners of your eyes when Shwhiskers gets a case of the zoomies. And, although her zooms have no particular destination, this is one curious girl who likes finding little spots to make her own. Her current favorite hangout is under the bed. It gives her the space she requires while still letting her know what's going on around her. Whether emerging from her under-the-bed hideout or after a session of zoomies, Shwhiskers often becomes incredibly affectionate. She'll curl up against you and will accept pets and snuggles. Her vocalizations are similarly mellow with bursts of intense meows. Shwhiskers is basically a girl who knows what she wants and when and how she wants it and lives her life accordingly. You would be so very lucky to be along for the ride. Ready to welcome a silly girl into a loving home? Contact us about Shwhiskers today! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. Story
Affectionate, Calm, Trusting Meet Neighbor Tommy! This sweet boy has been around the block and is so ready to relax into a calm housecat life. He is instantly your friend and was already purring and rubbing his head against his fosters' hands before he was out of his carrier. For a cat who lived on the street before this, it's so heartwarming to see his trust and love shine out! Neighbor Tommy is also a champion flopper! Sometimes he gets up to alternate his flops toward different people just to get new pets. He loves to spend time using his people as a pillow in bed or on the couch and is a topnotch nap companion. And he absolutely loves conversations with his people - he will always meow back with his tiny little kitten voice! You can see more of Neighbor Tommy at his fosters' instagram: instagram.com/newlybuies He has a limp that is still being treated by the APA! medical team. He would do best in a calm home, since trying to run from exuberant animals or children would be difficult with his mobility. He currently takes some medication but otherwise is a happy boy living his life to the fullest. We would love to answer any questions you may have about his medical needs! Neighbor Tommy needs a soft place to land - could that be your home? Or even your arms? He would love to meet you! Reach out to us to set up a meet and greet. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
