Story
(Central Texas Adoption Only) Meet Batgirl, a gentle and resilient kitty with a heart as soft as her fur! This sweet girl was rescued from the streets, where she struggled to survive as a starving stray. Despite her tough beginnings, Batgirl has blossomed into a loving and affectionate companion who's ready to find her forever home. Her fur is an elegant mix of white, with delicate patches of gray and black tabby markings-reminiscent of a sesame dumpling, which inspired her adorable nickname. Her coat is exceptionally soft, making cuddle sessions all the more special. Batgirl may need a little time to adjust to her new surroundings, but once she settles in, she will be deeply dedicated to her person. She has a gentle spirit and just needs a little patience as she transitions into her new home. When she's comfortable, she'll be your loyal companion, following you around with love in her eyes. If you're looking for a kitty who's as sweet as she is beautiful and who's ready for a second chance at life, Batgirl is your perfect match. Story
Calm, Sweet, Loving Distinguished Gent is a senior guy, and he has massive amounts of experience nestling next to his people on the couch and sleeping in bed with them! He is a Master Cuddler. He has a gravelly meow that is precious, and sometimes he has a grumpy face, but he is pure sweetness, through and through! He loves to curl up and chill and simply be with you. He gives gentle love bites (at some point in his life his teeth were surgically removed) and he happily purrs up a storm. In a previous life, Gent was good with kids, enjoyed other cats, and tolerated dogs. He isn’t interested in playing, though you can sometimes tempt him with a wand toy! And in his past he occasionally wore a little harness and took his human out for a stroll in the backyard, soaking up the sun and sniffing the air. Distinguished Gent has Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), which means his kidneys don’t function as well as they did when he was a young whippersnapper! He must remain on a renal-supportive diet, plus may take meds and receive subcutaneous fluids. This condition is so common in older cats that APA! offers a special adoption package for them. Read more about CKD and adoption details here! https://bit.ly/2YudG90 Kidneys aside, Gent doesn’t really need much; he just wants to be near his people and soak up the love. He’s a little love sponge! He’d thrive in a quieter home with adults, young adults, and older kids who appreciate a calm, affectionate companion. If you’re the cuddly type with a soft spot for gentle kitties, Distinguished Gent would love to meet you! Contact us today to meet this gentleman cat; he is quite dapper in his gray-blue coat with his little white tail spot! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Distinguished Gent, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org.
