This gorgeous calico girl is Slinky. She was a little shy, but now she's all purrs ad cuddles.  Once she gets comfortable with you she enjoys back rubs. She is slowly coming out of her shell with the staff and she is gaining that powerful calico confidence. It’s no surprise precious Casey is a great favorite in the adoption center! Her caretakers report, she is the sweetest girl and loves to play peek-a-boo in boxes and enjoys a variety of simple toys. She has gotten along with other cats and she plays gently and is happy with simple things, it’s surprising that she can run with impressive speed if she’s chasing a rolling jinglebell ball or racing across the room! She’s also “very much a cuddlebug with an affectionate personality and should fit in well in many types of homes”. This sweetheart’s one-of-a-kind face is a showstopper, with densely fuzzy cheeks, dramatic black “eyeliner”, and a petal pink satin nose and little smile! Meet Ruthie – A Shy Sweetheart Looking for Her Second Chance Ruthie is a beautiful little lady with a soft, delicate voice and a heart full of love—once she decides you’ve earned it. Originally adopted as a kitten and returned through no fault of her own, Ruthie is hoping this time she’ll find her true forever home. By nature, Ruthie is a one-person cat. She can be shy and skittish at first, but with patience and a gentle approach, she blossoms into a loyal, loving companion. Once she’s comfortable, Ruthie enjoys lounging on her favorite couch or curling up in boxes in the funniest poses. She loves sitting by big windows, watching the world go by, and chattering at the birds outside. Ruthie gets along well with other cats—sometimes she’ll become their quiet friend, sharing space peacefully, or even join in on mutual grooming or a gentle wrestling match (with a very clear sense of when to tap out!). She’s surprisingly tolerant of babies and small children after some time, though she prefers to grace them with her calm presence rather than being handled. Playtime is one of Ruthie’s favorite parts of the day! Toys on strings are her weakness, and she’ll chase them until she’s delightfully tired. Laser pointers don’t impress her much, but paper grocery bags, pipe cleaners, and ping pong balls are a big hit—especially if another cat joins the fun. Ruthie also makes a wonderful studio companion. She loves lying quietly on the craft table, keeping her person company while they paint or create. Jewelry wire, however, is just too tempting for her curious paws—so she still needs a little supervision there!
